A battle cry to the public.
So many breeders are selling puppies way below the price should be to get quality care and pedigree/lines.
Please understand that if that is all that is supported you are putting all of our dogs at risk. Responsible and ethical breeders cannot stay in business and hold the standards that our dogs deserve.
From careful selection of parents, health testing, veterinary care, quality nutrition, puppy curriculum, puppy evaluations, and on and on.
I am seeing ethical and responsible breeders pausing left and right and what I need you to know is that if all of our GOOD breeders are reducing our litters and or stopping breeding altogether (we will not breed to any other standard other than of excellence) then what will be left of our dogs? Our lines?
I need this message to be heard LOUD AND CLEAR. Our dogs are at risk. I know the economy is crappy. We are all feeling that, but please save, be patient, and research before getting a dog at a price that is "too good to be true".
I am watching this all unfold before my eyes and I need your help!
Please protect all of our ethical breeders.
Buy responsibly.
Our dogs deserve it.
Our ethical breeders are the ones we want to protect, preserve, and create the healing power of the dog. We do not want the fate of our dogs left in the hands of ill-intention breeders.
Lenny is really starting to like being outside. 💗
Lenny is still here. He's so chill for a puppy!
More cute videos🙂💗
You would not believe the amount of haters one must deal with when working as an ethical breeder.
Here is the problem.
You love dogs but want all breeders shut down?
You want people to only own abandoned animals?
So say good bye to all purebred dogs.
All of our working dogs.
All of our responsible and ethical breeders that have devoted their life to improving their lines.
Say good bye to anyone responsibly breeding, period.
So you love dogs, but want to continue only having dogs that are bred by illegal or unethical breeders? Because I’ll tell you what… they won’t stop breeding.
How about this?
Let’s ONLY support ethical and responsible breeders. Let’s protect our beloved dogs. Let’s demand more. Let’s stop putting money into the pockets of unscrupulous “breeders” just trying to make a quick buck.
The public needs to buy better. Research. Respect empowered, honorable breeders.
Our dogs are the ones suffering and this mindset of this poster (and so many other people) doesn’t even make sense. And that’s a problem.
Good breeders take back their dogs they produce at any age, for the life of the dog. We are helping reduce shelter and rescue numbers.
We cannot only value dogs gained by the proxy of crap breeders. Instead, we need to buy and support from professional and ethical breeders.
This poor sweet boy just wants somebody to snuggle with. 😢
Leonard is Hunny and Ace's last puppy. He is so sweet and calm. He loves to play with his mom and cousin.
Raj had a small umbilical hernia so we had it repaired and had him neutered at the same time. There goes another $475. 🤷🏼♀️
The boys are all worn out from running and playing.
When you buy something at the dollar store you don't expect it to last long do you? Yet people intentionally look for the cheapest puppy when they look for a new lifelong pet. You might get lucky but, in general, you get what you pay for. Please remember that when choosing your breeder. It's not about which one is the cheapest.
Almost 13 weeks old
They love humans so much but there isn't enough of me to give all 6 of them the attention they want.
Six sleepy puppies still hanging out here.
I know nothing about this dog but I saw it in a local paper.
Late night puppy antics. 🙂 The puppies are 8 weeks old today. One goes home Saturday. None of the other applicants have responded to me. 🤷🏼♀️
The puppies are playing while I clean their pen.
Sorry, video removed
The puppies moved to their big pen as they were starting to get out of the whelping box.
Both Bernadette and Priya have 4 white paws and a white tip on their tail.
I need to take a few days off because I haven't started wrapping gifts and I don't even know if I have them all yet! We also need to start our Christmas baking. 😄
I spoke with the creator of the neopar vaccine yesterday and I now have a plan in place that will hopefully prevent parvo in all of these puppies. It will mean that they can't go to their new homes until they are 9 weeks old but that doesn't matter if they are healthy!
Introducing the girls
Please pray. Lucy was diagnosed with parvo. She is staying at the vet overnight but I'm pretty sure she will be okay. I need a lot of wisdom on how to keep these puppies safe since I can't isolate them from their mom and their mom will be in contact with the ground that Lucy walked, pooped, and threw up on. There is not a spot on this 8 acres that is truly safe. Lots to do and probably a lot of sleepless nights. Just pray God will get us all through this.
Introducing the boys
The first two weeks I "sleep" in the room with the puppies. This means I'm awake at least every two hours. My brain gets a little fuzzy from lack of sleep. 🤪 I haven't even updated the website yet. The worst part is somehow my spreadsheet for every puppy and every application/new owners got deleted. I was able to create a new spreadsheet from the forms but it doesn't have any of my notes on it. If you have ever filled out an application you will be getting an email from me asking where we are at in your puppy journey. Check your spam folder and please be patient as I try and rebuild the last 4.5 years of info. 🙂
Gracie is one of our guardian home dogs. Unfortunately she was not able to stay with her family so she is with us for now. She is a very sweet, smart girl.
Hunny had puppies last night! She is such a wonderful momma! 💕💕💕
Little Lucy is our last guardian home dog still here. At about 40 pounds she loves to play with her 75 pound auntie Piper. 💗
Hunny is starting to get big and she still has 2.5 weeks to go. 💗

Lucy is one of our sweet girls who gets to live forever with a guardian family. If you would like to know more about our guardian home program please see our website. https://www.glaciergoldendoodles.com/basic-01
What is a Guardian Family? A Guardian or Guardian Family is a person or household that agrees to keep and look after a breeder’s dog. This is a formal contract that carries legal obligations, some of which can impact and restrict your lifestyle. Failing to uphold your end of the bargain could lead to the dog breeder taking back your beloved pet. As a result, never enter a Guardianship contract without a guardianship attorney to ensure your agreement is fair and practical in the long term. Dog breeders use Guardian Families to ensure that their breeding dogs have happy and healthy lives as the pet of a loving family. Guardian Families are far more humane than the alternative of puppy farms, which do not provide any of the care and attention a dog needs to live a happy life. Please see the entire article written by Mike Johnson here. https://www.petplay.com/blogs/tips/what-does-it-mean-to-be-a-guardian-for-a-dog Warning- there are jealous puppies and chickens in the background. You may want to turn your sound down. 😄
The puppies had fun camping and they did really well. They met lots of people, got to play with kids, tried walking on leashes, and slept every night in crates. Now to get them cleaned up and ready to go to the vet tomorrow and then to their homes.
Today we are exploring a slippery surface that makes noise. 🙂 On a not so fun note, hunny stole a bag of marshmallows, took it in with the puppies and ate the whole bag. She then got sick and threw up said marshmallows all over her puppies. It's like trying to get gum out of the hair of 8 puppies. It's in their paws and on their heads. 🤦🏼♀️ #marshmallowvomit #goldendoodle #goldendoodlesofinstagram #montana #goldendoodlepuppies
They were climbing out of the whelping box so it was time for the big pen. They are getting so cute!
Some things to know about the puppies; Empty pizza boxes and litter bags are way better than toys. We go through a bag of puppy food and a bag of litter every two days. Theirs pens are cleaned twice a day. If you put grates over the litter boxes to keep the litter in, I've heard that you can actually train puppies to pee in heating vents. Yes, there is litter on our floors. 🙂
