Meet Micki, the petite powerhouse who is heartbreakingly close to her one-year anniversary at the HARTT shelter. Almost half her life has been spent behind kennel doors — yet she steps out into the world every time with joy, curiosity, and that spark that makes her unforgettable.

At just 38 lbs, everyone says:
“She’s the perfect size!” 💎

Micki kicked off our 12 Dogs of Christmas adventure series, and she absolutely shined.

‼️STUNNING TITAN NEEDS A HOME‼️

Titan may be 82 lbs but he is as gentle and dainty as they come!

At 4 years old he finds himself in a small prison cell without his pal, Pizza, the husky. He is use to having a 4-legged buddy to keep away the loneliness.

His intake was 10/19/25

Titan loves walks and is great on leash.
He enjoys belly rubs and being pet all over.
Staff and volunteers talk about what a great dog he is!

❤️BING NEEDS A SPECIAL ADOPTER or RESCUE ❤️

Is that you?

At only 6 yrs old, Bing found himself as a stray at the scary shelter. 😞 since intake he quietly sits and waits for that special someone who will take him home and give him all the love and care he needs.

His intake date was 9/7/25 - he has been at the shelter over 60 days !

Bing makes the cutest grunts as his cheeks get carressed. He loves treats (takes them super gentle) but seems to truly enjoy being pet and given attention. It’s sad when returning him to his kennel as sometimes treats and coaxing is needed just to get him back into that cement prison.

Sadly he had this soft, but firm, mass on his right hind leg at intake. Shelter vet evaluated it and said it should be removed and biopsied by an adopter.
This is why a special adopter or rescue is needed. Aside from the mass, he has a few older man lumps /bumps but he appears in pretty good shape!

🤍 Meet Taz – he arrived at MCACC back on July 6th, which means he’s sadly passed the 60-day mark. Taz hasn’t been given a deadline yet, but county has had to start giving deadlines for length of stay. 💔

When I first met him, he was tucked away in the K wing—a quiet, forgotten spot where hardly anyone looks. I took him on a Tails Around Town adventure, and his whole world lit up. He hopped into the car like he’d been waiting forever for that chance, and sat gazing out the window with the sweetest expression—just soaking up freedom. 🐾

This little 40lb cutie walks beautifully on leash, no pulling, just happy to be by your side. We even stopped for a much-needed bath. His coffee-colored rinse water told the story of shelter life, and underneath it all was a soft, snowy coat just waiting to shine again. ✨

Taz isn’t about treats or toys—what he wants most is time with you. He loves sitting close, strolling calmly through the park, and watching the world go by with his person. And when it was time to go back to his kennel? That one broke me. Most dogs walk back willingly. Taz hesitated, wanting to stay. 💔

He may have a mini husky look, but not the husky-level chaos—just a gentle, loyal soul longing for home.

Taz will leave the shelter neutered, microchipped, and ready to be your best friend (likely with a little goodie bag too 😉). What he needs most isn’t stuff—it’s someone to love him forever.

This girl is PURE JOY!

She LOVES other (big and small) dogs.
She LOVES cuddles.
She just LOVES being a dog!
She is potty trained!

She THRIVES in an environment where she has the freedom to run and just enjoy her existence. (She isn’t a fan of confinement or small spaces.. So a yard is a must!!)

She will make you laugh with her sweet Husky “woo woo’s” in protest to not getting your undivided attention. 😍😍🥰

She will do everything in her power to brighten your day!
