🤍 Meet Taz – he arrived at MCACC back on July 6th, which means he’s sadly passed the 60-day mark. Taz hasn’t been given a deadline yet, but county has had to start giving deadlines for length of stay. 💔

When I first met him, he was tucked away in the K wing—a quiet, forgotten spot where hardly anyone looks. I took him on a Tails Around Town adventure, and his whole world lit up. He hopped into the car like he’d been waiting forever for that chance, and sat gazing out the window with the sweetest expression—just soaking up freedom. 🐾

This little 40lb cutie walks beautifully on leash, no pulling, just happy to be by your side. We even stopped for a much-needed bath. His coffee-colored rinse water told the story of shelter life, and underneath it all was a soft, snowy coat just waiting to shine again. ✨

Taz isn’t about treats or toys—what he wants most is time with you. He loves sitting close, strolling calmly through the park, and watching the world go by with his person. And when it was time to go back to his kennel? That one broke me. Most dogs walk back willingly. Taz hesitated, wanting to stay. 💔

He may have a mini husky look, but not the husky-level chaos—just a gentle, loyal soul longing for home.

Taz will leave the shelter neutered, microchipped, and ready to be your best friend (likely with a little goodie bag too 😉). What he needs most isn’t stuff—it’s someone to love him forever.

This girl is PURE JOY!

She LOVES other (big and small) dogs.
She LOVES cuddles.
She just LOVES being a dog!
She is potty trained!

She THRIVES in an environment where she has the freedom to run and just enjoy her existence. (She isn’t a fan of confinement or small spaces.. So a yard is a must!!)

She will make you laugh with her sweet Husky “woo woo’s” in protest to not getting your undivided attention. 😍😍🥰

She will do everything in her power to brighten your day!

I can’t express enough how lucky someone will be if they adopt Alix.
She is the JACKPOT of all jackpots!!

Alix is was elisted at MCACC West last year due to her needing FHO surgery. HARTT took her in and has taken care of all her medical needs.

Nova is a sweet, 2-year-old, 50 lb Pittie whose life is on the line simply for being returned to the shelter. She deserves a second chance—not a death sentence.

🐾 Sweet Emerson Needs Adopter by 2/25 — EUTHANASIA DEADLINE IS TOMORROW🚨!

Hey there, I’m Emerson, a 2yr old Catahoula/Cattle Dog mix. When I first arrived, I was pretty nervous, but with some sweet talk, tasty treats, and a gentle approach, I’ve started to come out of my shell.

A volunteer called me an “easy dog”—I walk nicely on a leash, allow petting, and have a calm, mellow nature. I might need a little extra socialization, so a home without young kids could be best. But I’ve been non-reactive to people passing by and have shown I can be super sweet!

Oh, and funny story—I was actually a side quest! HARTT was originally trying to catch a stray Husky, but I ended up being the one they caught cuz I was hanging out with that dog! Oops! But hey, I guess that means I was meant to find my forever family.

🚨 Reminder: All dogs need a period of decompression before slowly meeting other pets in the home. Let’s set me up for success! 🚨
