UPDATE: Holly did not make it out 💔 Thank you to everyone that shared her 🌈
HOLLY IS STILL WAITING! 😢 We can’t let today be her last day. One of her favorite volunteers made a special trip this morning to give her a special meal in case it is her last….
🩷 Sweet little ball of fun Holly has a deadline of tomorrow 😩
Deadline: Tuesday, 4/22 — needs a committed foster ASAP as she’s not available for public adoption.
Holly is a chonky cuddlebug pitbull with a wiggly b***y, big soulful eyes, and a heart full of love to give—but she’s running out of time. She’s currently at MCACC and needs to be pulled by a county-approved rescue by end of day TUESDAY 4/22, or she will be not make it out of the shelter. For a rescue to save her, we need a committed foster from the public to step up 🙏
This girl ADORES people and has consistently shown how affectionate and gentle she can be. She’s a total Velcro dog—loyal, loving, and always ready for a back scratch or belly rub. She walks well on leash, knows “sit” and “shake,” takes treats gently, and lights up when she’s with her humans 😍
But like so many shelter dogs, Holly’s been under enormous stress. She fixates in her kennel and has struggled with over-stimulation in the shelter environment, especially around other dogs. County has labeled her as “only dog required,” but we want to be clear: Holly has lived with other dogs before. With the right support, slow intros, and time to decompress, she may be able to live with other pups in the future. For now, a foster without other pets will give her the best shot at resetting and feeling safe again.
What Holly needs to make it out:
✔️A rescue partner
✔️A calm home where she can decompress
✔️A foster without other pets
✔️Someone patient and kind, who understands that stress behaviors don’t define a dog
She’s spayed, vaccinated, crate-trained, and was reportedly great in the home. She may limp occasionally, but she’s otherwise healthy—and she is so, so ready to finally exhale.
Holly has been let down and deserves to find a home where she feels safe and loved 🥰 Please help us give her that chance to just be a dog again.
