Karl, Brandon and Ruby won the hearts of the crowd this weekend and we truly couldnโt agree more. Karl and Brandon showed their hearts this weekend by not only training their own horse but these two guys helped other trainers in the competition with their horses. These two said โItโs not about winning the competition, itโs about being a community and making sure the horses and trainers are safe and sound.โ
Congratulations to Ty and Wendy as well as Regi and Tyler. Phenomenal event!

We are so thankful for this opportunity and we can not wait until the next competition. Charlie, Karl and Regi are phenomenal and truly trained such a beautiful horse throughout these last 3 days. Thank you Olsens and Purina.
Beginning of Day 2 thoughts and comments. Karl named his horse Charles (aka my little pony๐, Charlie or Chuck). If you know us personally, you know the significance behind the name. We lost an amazing man at the beginning of this year, my father Charles. We know he is here in spirit and so proud of everything weโve accomplished. -Brittany

Hero ๐ฆธโโ๏ธ ๐ด
Hero is a client horse of ours. He is a 7 year old Mustang from the Apache Sitgreaves Forest in Northern, Arizona. Hero is our 7th horse weโve trained from the Apache Sitgreaves and we are blessed to be apart of his journey to success. To be able to train these horses and truly give them a second chance at life, is what drives us to continue training. Videos shown are from his second ride two weeks ago and we are amazed at how far he has come. We canโt wait to see his progress at the end of Leach Colt Starting Academy!

As some may know, Karl is featured in a documentary called Mustang Moments by Jamie Williams with That Girl Productions.
Jamie is a local photographer, videographer, filmmaker and producer in Tucson, Arizona. Her love for the western culture and the horse is infectious. When Jamie heard about the Inmate Wildhorse Program in Florence, Arizona through Lanny and Kathy Leach, she was drawn to flim and wanted to share the stories of the men who were in the program and the Lanny Leach Colt Starting Academy!
Lanny and Kathy would go down to the prison and host clinics for the men who were currently there. Lanny would teach these men and help them gain knowledge of true horsemanship. one of those men, was Karlโฆ little did we know just how much his life would change.
Mustang Moments has been apart of several short film festivals and has won numerous awards!
We absolutely can not wait for the future debut of the film. Jamie is a blessing to our family and we look forward to what is to come. She truly has the most beautiful talent and has captured such an amazing, special and unique part of our lives.

Working on some desensitizing with Jasper to get him acclimated to loud noises, overcome fears and build confidence.
Jasper is a BLM branded Mustang. From the moment I met him, I knew he was smart, curious and is going make a great horse for his owners Rob and Nicole Christensen.
Mustangs take a-lot of heart and patience but their drive to grow and learn is endless. Itโs Mustangs like Jasper that founded my passion for horse training.
