Charlie is approximately 10–11 weeks old and just 2½ pounds of softness and potential.

Charlie had a rough start, living outside and learning the world the hard way. He was once very feral, but he’s already discovering what the good life feels like — full tummies, warm beds, and gentle hands.

He’s shy at first, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his true personality shines. Charlie becomes very loving, melts into scratches, and rewards you with sweet little kisses. He loves playing with his brother and sister and is incredibly handsome with the softest coat.

Charlie is still learning to trust, but every day he shows how much love he has to give. He’s looking for a patient, kind home that will let him continue to blossom at his own pace.

From feral beginnings to a hopeful future — Charlie is ready for his forever home.

Meet Jake.

This 80-pound Anatolian Shepherd mix didn’t ask for much — just a place to belong. Sadly, it appears he was dumped in a neighborhood and left to fend for himself, relying on the kindness of strangers to survive.

Concerned neighbors eventually stepped in and brought him to the shelter for safety. While that kept him out of immediate danger, it wasn’t the place this sweet, sensitive boy was meant to be. Thankfully, other neighbors couldn’t stand the thought of such a gentle soul sitting in a frightening, unfamiliar environment — so they rallied together and with the help of Jake took his FREEDOM ride.

He’s now safe in foster care, decompressing, learning what it means to be loved, and showing everyone just how special he is. True to his breed, he’s calm, loyal, thoughtful, and deeply devoted once he feels secure. Despite everything he’s been through, he remains affectionate, gentle, and trusting.

This boy deserves a home where he’ll never be disposable again — a family who understands the heart of a guardian breed and will give him the stability he was once denied.

Sweet Satin. Just 6 months old, only 10 pounds, and found alone in a field — yet she greets the world with trust instead of fear.

Despite severe malnutrition and painful skin infections, Satin is still gentle, affectionate, and full of love. She leans into every touch, melts into cuddles, and looks at you like she’s just grateful to be safe.

Her little body is healing — from mange, sore paws, anemia, and weakness caused by going without for far too long — but her spirit was never broken. She’s already eating well, enjoying her medicated baths, and reminding everyone she meets just how resilient and forgiving dogs can be.
Satin is being fostered by my friend and neighbor, and is available for adoption through . Had to share her incredible transformation. What a little WARRIOR!

My favorite color is Christmas lights.
Say hello to Snood Dogg and King Arthur! 🦃 These handsome Toms were rescued thanks to a tip from a friend who spotted them on a local page. Since Royal Palm turkeys are endangered or threatened, it really feels like fate brought them to us. After losing Gerry earlier this year, I wasn’t sure I was ready for another Tom—but sometimes life has other plans. The girls are thrilled, and we can’t wait for the happy gobbles to begin!
