An artist I am not but I wanted to give everyone on heads up on a few things I’m working on. First, there will a celebration of life/memorial (I hate these names. Brainstorming a name!) for Kim the first weekend in March. I’m finalize details, but as soon as that’s done, I’ll let everyone know. At this event, we will be doing a silent auction with Kim’s unsold stitches.

Kim had a note at work, “I’d like to be someone who’s given more than they taken”. I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately and the legacy that Kim has left behind. I’m inviting anyone who wants create something that they feel embodies Kim to be auctioned off. All the money will go to Elijah’s care. More details to come later, but I wanted to give people a heads up and time.

On Friday, Kim, her dad, and younger brother were murdered by her husband. He then committed su***de. Their 5 year old son witnessed these events.

I met Kim in 2009 when I started working at Verizon. We became fast friends. With all my family in New York she began invited me to her family events for holidays. Without hesitation, John and Susan opened their home to me to the point that it was basically assumed, if I wasn’t going to New York, I was going to the Childs’. I’ve considered them to be my South Carolina family for years.

Kim’s son, Elijah, is now with her family as they try to move forward. A gofundme and meal train have been set up, links are in my bio.

Archie’s gotcha day was the other day so we celebrated with a pup cup and a trip to the beach. Happy Gotcha Day, Archie Farchie. Even when you’re a butthead, I love having you around.

I’m doing a market! I’ll be sharing a space with so get your ticket for and come show us pictures of your dogs while you get them snackies and bandanas. Because obviously you need to get them a treat for leaving them home alone.

Met up with a friend today and took Archie and Aston for a beach walk. Aston did so well! Best part of a beach walk, sleepy puppies for the rest of the day!

When shared that they had a tiny (seriously, so tiny, she’s 7lbs) naked ween mix that needed to get pulled from the shelter, I immediately said yes. She came with the name Gabby but I’m not feeling that, so I figured let’s let the internet pick her name! To enter, donate $5 to , then DM me your confirmation and name! I’ve been fostering Carly with a local rescue for the last couple weeks. She is a legit angel of a puppy. If you’re looking for a new dog, I couldn’t recommend Carly enough.

Carly is 7-9 months old, about 25-30 lbs. I don’t think she’ll get much bigger. She’s up to date with all vaccines, spayed, and heartworm negative. She was pulled from Colleton County Animal Shelter when they were facing a mass euthanasia due to overcrowding. She’s a little timid at first but within a week she was acting like a puppy. Shes potty trained and crate trained. She doesn’t bark. She’s cat curious but respectful. She’s super tolerant of Archie’s bullish ways.

We are working on learning to chew only on toys. But if she takes something she shouldn’t have, she lets you swap it out with a toy without any protest or fight. We are also working on her leash skills. Walking outside is still a little scary for her so she doesn’t go far and will pull to go back to “safety”. I took her to a bar during an adoption event the other day. She did wonderfully there. The only scary part was walking across the parking lot. She was happy to meet other dogs, people, and children.
