This cutie is Freyja. She is spending time here for a 3 week board and train. She is 6months old so she is just hitting that adolescence sass. She is really smart and a little spitfire but soooo much fun to work with.

Another outing for Dizzy, this time we went to Tractor Supply. Tractor Supply is great due to the variety of distractions. Another benefit is its indoors, On this particular day it was windy and cold out 😖

Little trip to the hardware store for Dizzy. I like these stores because there is a lot of distractions and noises but nice wide isles to create space if needed.

Dizzy has been here for two weeks to work on reactivity mainly to dogs but will react to most fast moving objects as well. Bikes, skate boards, cars, etc. She has come a long way in two weeks. I am a bit behind on posting but more on Dizzy coming soon :) … training dogtrainingsierravista

Thank you to everyone that reached out about Otto. He will be missed terribly. I had camping trip planned this weekend which was his favorite activity. He loved exploring. It’s not going to be the same without him.

But moving forward I am going to try and hold on to the good memories of him. He was a fantastic dog and that’s the way her deserves to be remembered.

I don’t even know how to say this as I am still in shock. Otto passed away yesterday evening. It was sudden, unexpected, and all happened so fast.

He was lying on the couch and had what appeared to be a seizure or a stroke. After he came to, my husband and I took him to emergency where they found that he had fluid in his abdomen and around his heart that was more than likely cancer that had ruptured.

We made the decision to say goodbye so he did not suffer.

He had no signs of being sick which is why this has come as such a shock. While he was almost 12 years old he had been a very health dog over the years.

Otto was an amazing sweet dog. He did not just have a sweet personality but was just a very good boy by nature.

He was always happy and loved life and adventures. He was the best little buddy anyone could ask for.

Many of you had gotten to know him over the years. And with his determination to make friends he helped many shy and unsure dogs come out of their shells.

I cannot say enough good things about him and he definitely had a fan club amongst those who knew him. I cannot describe how devastated I am and I will miss him terribly.

Jager is a rambunctious Airedale that has joined us for some general manners while his owners are out of town. He is a lot of fun with his energetic personality but, like most dogs he needs to just slow down and think about what he is doing vs being very impulsive.

Mica is nearing the end of his training. We went to tractor supply today and a photo with the skeleton chicken was a must!

Mica has arrived for a 4 week Board and Train. He is a pushy guy that knows his size! However he is also a total goof. We will be working on some basic manners while he is here. Stay Tuned!

Well our board and train break is over, and Aurora is the first dog as we get back in to the grove. Aurora can be dog and human reactive and is overall alert of her surroundings. We will be working on Aurora not being as stimulated by her environment and teaching her that she doesn’t have to be on alert all the time. So far she has been settling in great and I will be excited to share her progress. (P.S I know her Ecollar slid down in this photo so don’t come for me ok.🤣)
