Fox-Mar Bassets Basset Hounds - We are engaged in producing excellent show, hunting, and field trialing hounds. In temperament it is mild, never sharp or timid.

The Basset Hound possesses in marked degree those characteristics which equip it admirably to follow a trail over and through difficult terrain. It is a short-legged dog, heavier in bone, size considered, than any other breed of dog, and while its movement is deliberate, it is in no sense clumsy. It is capable of great endurance in the field and is extreme in its devotion.

What a fantastic opening weekend of the field trial season for the Fox-Mar pack! It was also the first field trial weekend for Poca's pups. Birdie finished 1st and Roe finished NBQ out of a class of 17 on Saturday. On Sunday Tikka finished 1st, Butter 2nd, and Roe 3rd. We are very excited for the new generation of field hounds.

Good morning everyone! We just found out about a new show happening in the Lansing, Michigan area. 4 days of shows--Thursday to Sunday--at the end of March at the Ingham County Fairgrounds, hosted by the Ingham County Kennel Club.

Saturday and Sunday BOB went to Topsfield-Lebrera Hummingbird of Foxmar (Tikka)

The girls did awesome work and we appreciate all the competitors who showed up to make it a successful weekend at the Michigan Hound Association and Ingham County KC shows! Finally, thank you to our judges!

Congratulations to Milo and Fresca. Milo went 3rd in Saturday's field trial and 1st on Sunday. Fresca went 1st on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday. These two are amazing little hunters!

At the start of this video you can see the rabbit. It was tough conditions. It was freezing rain all day, the brush was stiff. Milo and Super were on the bunny this evening. Super wasn’t doing much for the camera, but Milo does. Super did well off camera.

Gotter won her second 1st place in an AKC field trial! Her first at one year old, her second at age 11. She won this toy. She hasn’t played with toys in years but look at that joyous hound!
