Please talk to us before adding signs or making any changes at the park. We appreciate the collaboration and our committee welcomes any and all ideas but we generally will not permit advertising signs at the park. Thank you for your understanding.

OPEN!
There is a small area of water in one spot but otherwise the ground looks good and ready for the dogs! Thank you for your patience while we were closed waiting for good conditions for the new grass. 🌱🌱🌱🌱

Please remember to clean up after your dog. We had a wonderful volunteer who spent a TON of time on p**p patrol this spring. It is so important to do your part to keep the park clean for all to enjoy. Thank you!

Thanks for your patience everyone! We are monitoring the ground regularly and will reopen as soon as the ground dries up. Letting dogs on the wet muddy ground would be detrimental to the new grass. Follow this page for updates! Yay for spring weather! ☀️🐕🌱🌱🌱🌱

Update: There are still some really wet spots at the park especially in the top half where most dogs hang out. We are holding off reopening a few more days. Thanks for your patience. It’s important to let the ground dry out to keep the new grass growing!

UPDATE:
Park is officially closed for Spring dry out. This morning the area was 60% covered with snow now this evening only 20% snow covered. We have a significant amount of water running in from the parking lot due to melting snow piles.

ATTENTION! Spring has sprung!

In order to protect the new grass during this muddy time of year we will be temporarily closing on the morning of Saturday, April 15th in order for the Bark Park to dry out. Gates will be locked and no access permitted until the ground dries up. This is needed to keep the grassy area from getting damaged.

If conditions worsen before then, we may close earlier. Watch our page for updates and reopening!

Thanks for understanding that we want to preserve the grass.

Bring on the hounds! Mowed and ready.

To all our volunteer mowers, set your decks high to prevent rock dings on your blades. It will help keep the grass cool and retain what moisture we have as well.

Update: the snow has melted and the grass we planted in the fall is doing its thing!

Ground is still soft. Grass is looking good but needs time and some warm sunshine. It is about 1/2 inch and maybe 60% cover.

If all goes well and the grass continues to do grow nicely we plan for a Grand Opening on Sunday, June 26th. Stay tuned for updates and details.

We are still actively fundraising to purchase additional items for the park - such as benches, signs and grounds upkeep materials. We will also have ongoing maintenance costs.
