I love the idea of living this way

Have you heard of Simona Kossak? She was a scientist, ecologist, and an activist who fought to protect Europe's oldest forest. She was also a fascinating person. The locals called her a witch, because she chatted with animals and owned a terrorist-crow, who stole gold and attacked bicycle riders. She spent more than 30 years in a wooden hut in the Białowieża Forest (Poland), without electricity or access to running water. A lynx slept in her bed, and a tamed boar lived with her under the same roof.
Simona Kossak was born on this day in 1943.

Walk towards an animal with your hand outstretched, and most will feel uncomfortable. Walk towards them while wanting something from them, and most will doubt you. Try to walk up to them while tip-toeing, trying to be all quiet, and they will believe you to be stalking them and they leave.

But just sit there, breathing and relaxing, and just BE…and then watch them relax, let their guard down, and they will approach you in their own way, in their own time, at the speed of their trust.

We focus so much on doing and getting and acquiring and making and getting. We are infected by the weight of the thinking that we don’t have enough time. We carry an ever-present impatience that has us always on the move, on the go, with a feeling of unsettled-ness if we ever just sit and stop and do nothing.

But by sitting and doing nothing in the beginning with an animal, a door opens, in its own time, that leads to all we wish to ever feel with them.

Pictured here is Momma-Deer, a friend of Molly Nelson, who took this picture. Molly befriended Momma-Deer four years ago by just sitting and being and letting Momma-Deer approach on her own. And now the deer comes to visit on a regular basis, walking right up to Molly.

I think of “being” more than “doing” in this life.

I think of focusing on how I wish to feel to those around me.

I think of communicating with my presence more than with clumsy words or loud movements.

I think of how a glance of eye contact can say more than staring can.

I think of letting the right time to move or approach or walk or touch “come to me,” rather than me doing it when I want.

I think of how all of life wants to come to me, if only I can stop chasing it, if only I can stop trying to make it.

Connection🔥🦅

We humans have connected with animals for as long as we have existed. We work with them, play with them, care for them and they care for us.
Yes, those connections can get messy...we even eat them...but let's face it, life is messy isn't it?

I believe we are here to learn and to connect and I KNOW that animals are here for it with us, all of it.
How?
They have told me so....oh I have so much to share with you...

But essentially, fostering deeper connection is what I'm holding space for in my Animal Communication workshops.

That is the goal. Connection with our animals, with the people around us and most importantly, ourselves.

Kneeling with a horse.

Something so simple, yet something so meaningful. Our whole being—mind, body, and soul—speaks so openly and beautifully at this moment. We are honoring; we are opening. And when kneeling in front of a horse we are inviting. So many times I have knelt in front of a horse… five feet, ten feet, twenty feet, fifty feet away… and it is that moment that something in their guard drops and they open up and walk to me with the most alive and innocent of eyes.

And it’s not just horses. This way of speaking with your entire being is seen and felt by many of the animal world. It grounds you; softens you. It gives the animal an opportunity to see more than just a human.

It gives them an opportunity to see YOU.

Being a professional animal communicator is how I am able to show up in the world and facilitate deeper connections between people and their animals. It's a big step for me but here we go!

Change🔥

I despise change and yet I crave it. Change is a fight against all I’ve known, all I’ve been taught and all I think I am. If I love what I am then I don’t need to change, but I don’t, not always. I question my motives, my needs and desires. Am I worthy of this? Can I do without that?
Why do I struggle? Because as the years go by and I still haven’t banished all the voices that sit around my long internal banquet table, sloshing wine and standing on chairs to get my attention. Some bellow, some whine and some laugh until they cry. There is one in particular who bothers me most. She only sits quietly amidst the din and shreds her napkin into tiny pieces of confetti.
The only way I can change is to get up from that table and move to the quiet, starlit atrium of my meditative mind. Revelers, prophets, judges and naysayers can’t infiltrate the peace I find there.
If I want to change, that’s where I must go, so I can decide for myself who to listen to, who I am, and who I want to be.

It’s finally here! 🗞🎉
Stories, experiences and wisdom I have learned from animals during telepathic and shamanic communication sessions.

In the first edition, a lovely dog named Bridget who has crossed the rainbow bridge after living a happy life shared fantastic information that can help us all better understand the Dog Spirit. She shared that when in spirit, dogs have their own soul but are also part of a collective consciousness, which "rolls gently over everyone, offering ITSELVES to all people".
Bridget told me that the dog collective consciousness is the most wonderful one (in her opinion) because it is non-judgmental and unconditionally loving. 🐩🐾🥰

"This is why dogs stay with abusive owners, why they put up with it," she told me. She went on to say that dogs come to care for us and help us learn to be better humans. She ended the lesson by saying that she thought that "the dog consciousness is better than that of whales (which is known to be wise and benevolent) because dogs can be everywhere, and whales are only in the ocean." 🐳💦 💙

She has a point 🤔😁

Sweet Sefi, welcoming the cold morning light.
It was -7 this morning but Sefi still welcomed the sun. She said I could keep my long underwear on while I did two communications with client’s dogs. “Put some earrings on and you’ll look just fine” she said. So I did, and I did.

Me and my 9 outdoor sled dogs are back in the warm tiny house again tonight. It’s a joy to be with them💛
