PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD – If your pet care professional isn't talking about; Choice, Communication, Compassion, Consent, Emotions, Empathy, Partnership, Respect, and Trust; you NEED a NEW pet care professional. Before training a dog, you must have a relationship based on compassion, empathy, and respect. To achieve that, you must be able to understand your dog's needs, emotions, and how they communicate. Having the ability to make choices and to give consent is essential to the mental health of every living thing. We can develop a lifelong partnership with our dog only after we understand all these things.

Don Hanson took me to see my veterinarian ( Penobscot Veterinary Services, LLC ) this morning because he was worried about my not eating well, and I've been nauseous. I got lots of attention and peed on the floor so they knew I didn't have a blockage. I also got to have another ultrasound, just lying on my back while they rub my tummy. Don said I looked very relaxed. They should change the name to UltraNice! When we came home, I wanted to let Don know I was feeling better, so I did some Zoomies around the yard. I may be 14, but this Muppy can still act like a puppy!

This morning, one of my BFF's Deb Bell of Bell's Furry Friends Photography stopped by to take some photos of me and Don. These photo sessions are always so much fun. As you can see, Don had to get in the act too, but he says he wants to make sure people know what Deb looks like.

This morning, Don took me to my Chinese Medicine Veterinarian, Dr. Michael Munzer, at All Creatures Acupuncture Holistic Veterinary Therapies. I received a chiropractic adjustment and acupuncture treatment to keep my Qi balanced and running unobstructed throughout my body. Under Dr. Munzer’s care, I am also taking a Chinese herb to help my Qi. These are all part of the many things Don and Paula are doing to hopefully destroy the cancerous growth in my bladder. She sees every new day as the best day of our lives together, whether we just hang out or go on an adventure. The Muppster playfully dog-splained to him that the best thing Don can do for her is to do what she has been doing for him every single day, filling the day with joy, and making each moment together the absolute best!
