Came across this touching COUPLES PRAYER that my author husband wrote on a previous August 2nd anniversary of ours.
Couples Prayer
Lord, help us remember that our love for each other reflects Your love for us.
May we empower one another to fulfill our purpose in life.
May our love be an example for our children and a model for all.
May our experience as a couple give us a preview of the Oneness we will experience someday.
Help us to see that everything is either love, or a call for love.
Help us to celebrate our similarities and honor our differences.
Help us to accept our limitations and utilize our talents.
Thank you for this opportunity, this life and for my loving partner.

Health update for all those asking. In 1996 Ed had a triple bypass at age 50, and he's done well ever since. However, he had another heart attack June 1, 2024. His time spent at the local hospital was awful, plus I caught a respiratory virus while there with him. We were both laid up for a few weeks. Long story is that we decided Ed is better off under Hospice care than risk another trip to Bay Area Hospital. Hospice will help control any pain not handled by his nitro-glycerin. Previously his cardiologist told us he wouldn't survive another heart attack, but he did. ;-) I am very grateful to still have him here. He is weaker than before, but otherwise doing okay. Only God knows our check-out time. Your prayers for peace and comfort are appreciated.

While much of the country swelters, we are at 68 degrees right now. It may reach the low 80's later. That's unusually high for us. It's nice to live on Oregon's south coast. It's rarely too hot or too cold.

Healing Prayers Needed. On Wednesday we enrolled Ed in Hospice. He survived another heart attack on June 1 in spite of the fact that his cardiologist said his next heart attack would be his last. God's not ready to take him yet. Meanwhile, as his Caregiver, I'm sick with something I picked up from the hospital while he was in there. This respiratory virus has me laid low, sick and miserable. So difficult to deal with everything while fighting this illness too. I'm not an adequate Caregiver when he's doing more to take care of me than I am of him. What's wrong with this picture? We've always looked out for one another. Nothing's changed. May God strengthen both of us for whatever comes next. Taking life one day at a time. Seeking peace and blessings.

Our hand fed babies are growing up fast. I'm hand feeding eight baby Bourkes and have three more that I'll pull on Sunday. This video is of Stormy & Peaches' four and Blossom and Songster's four. Ruby and Rudy have three that aren't shown in this video, but I hope to do another one soon with all eleven babies. They will be such tame, sweet and beautiful birds.

On Nov. 11, 2018 this little guy saved my life. I'd passed out and he roused me, then at my whisper for him to bark and keep barking, he did. He was my first responder. His insistence got help for me, and I'm alive and well today because of him. Skoshi died one year ago on Nov. 12, 2021 from Cushing's Disease. He was only 8 1/2 years old. He was a sweet, easy keeper ... He saved my life, yet I wasn't able to save his.
