Meet Carl, our Collar Clinic Pet of the Week at the Cherryland Humane Society!

Carl is 9 years old, and has been at the Cherryland Humane Society for 20 days. Carl is a distinguished senior pup with a heart of gold and a goofy side that will keep you smiling with his handsome features and gentle demeanor. Carl is the epitome of a lovable companion. He is in his arthritic early golden years with so much love to give, wisdom to share, and joy to spread. He enjoys the simple pleasures in life like snuggling up beside you, soaking up some sunshine, a goofy play session, and good conversation. Do not let this Carl's age fool you, he forgets he is not a puppy! His silly antics will keep laughter a constant in your home. Carl has potential with dogs and kids, he just asks for no cats please. If you are looking to add a sweet, gentle soul to your family, look no further than Carl. He's ready and waiting to fill your life with warmth and laughter!

Dear Santa,

Ho ho ho and woof woof! Hudson here, writing to you from Cherryland Humane Society. I am including in this a letter some photo’s of yours truly to share with incredible families who deserve an equally incredible dog. You’ll notice in one, I look strikingly similar to you. Twins, right?! Plus I also love cookies, we should be besties. ♥️🎄

While being a couch potato on Christmas would be truly magical, I know there are a lot of other dogs who are asking the same thing - and have been for longer. Which is why this Christmas, I am asking for new hard toy options for our living spaces. I will include links to give you an idea of what we need, but anything to use towards our canine enrichment program is greatly appreciated! 🎁

Thank you for spreading joy and magic, Santa! Safe travels on your big trip, I’ll be sure to leave out some treats for you and your reindeer. 🦌

Charming completely lives up to his name! 🤩🐾 This lovable good boy has a squishy, kissable face that’s sure to melt your heart.💓

He is the happiest, wiggliest guy around and loves everyone he meets - he is a pup of the people!

This social butterfly gets along beautifully with dogs and kids 12+ (due to large size and strong wiggles). 😆 Charming’s greatest joys include cuddling up to his favorite people and being involved in whatever you’re doing. He’s always ready to lend a paw and help out, a truly charming gentleman.

Recently transferred from Saginaw, Charming is excited to begin his new life as a Northern Michigander. He could not possible wiggle his little nubby tail faster or more.🥹🐾

“Hi CHS!

Just sending an update on Rue (formerly Mimosa), adopted in August 2024.

Rue LOVES to snuggle and is so incredibly affectionate. Wherever I am, she wants to be, and is always purring away. Rue’s also so curious & brave, quickly befriending my boyfriend’s dogs after letting them know she’s got some street cat in her; she’s the real boss.

Aside from snuggling, she loves to play fetch (I had no idea cats could learn this), she’s a parkour pro, is extremely talkative, and has learned to “sit” for treats. She’s one talented kitty.

Thank you for this little love muffin! Forever grateful she’s apart of my world now 🤎
