This is Poe, our Ginop Sales, Inc. POTW from
Cherryland Humane Society. Poe has been there for over a year, he is only 3 years old. He is a goofball that loves any outdoor activities but also leans in for love and attaboys! He has potential with other dogs but young kids and kitties, not so much. This guy would love to have the chance to steal your heart.

National Dog Day seems like the perfect day to consider fostering or adopting a rescue dog. 🌟 Did you know it’s National Foster Appreciation Week? Let’s take a moment to thank all the incredible foster families out there who open their hearts and homes to those in need. 🏡💖

From senior dogs and cats to litters of kittens, we couldn’t do what we do here at CHS without the help of foster families here in northern Michigan. Thank YOU! 🏡🐾

And speaking of fosters, Finnegan is a sweet pup looking for his forever home, but could also use a temporary foster home to get him out of the shelter environment. (He’s been extra sad and stressed lately) 😓

Hello there, I’m Missy! 👋☺️🐾

I may be a senior, but don’t let that fool you. I’m as curious as a kitten and just as playful. My spirit may be independent but I am always down for a good cuddle, belly rub, and chat. I’ve been working on my weight loss recently, and I must say, I’m feeling quite spry! 😆

Hopefully my new family will help me continue my health journey. I do also have arthritis, but it is managed thanks to medication. I have potential with cats, but large animals and dogs do make me uncomfortable. Children 12+ are best, younger kids can make me nervous. Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend, a cute companion, and a playful spirit. I promise to fill your life with purrs, headbutts, and lots of love. 💕🐾💕 Let’s make some memories together! 🏡

Meet Poe, this week's Yappy Hour Spotlight!

In addition to those eyes, Poe has the most beautiful personality. He is independent, unintentionally comical, naturally charismatic and the behaviorist has described him as a "certified do**us". Poe LOVES the outdoors, no matter the season, prefers to sleep alone, but will cuddle with his favorite people (or those who offer treats). He needs a home with experience, kiddos and cats make him nervous, but he does have potential with other dogs.

Poe is currently residing at Cherryland Humane Society. If you are interested in meeting Poe to foster or adopt, please reach out to them.

As always, don't forget to join us on the patio on Thursdays from 4:00-6:00 pm with your canine companion for Happy Hour pricing for humans & treats from Mi Pets Treat Truck for the pups, with proceeds benefiting Cherryland Humane Society and H.A.N.D.D.S. to the Rescue.

How can you resist a sugar-faced baby? 🥹 Especially one that has been at our shelter for nearly a year. 💔

And honestly, we don’t get it. Elaine is on the smaller side and loves everyone she meets. She would be a perfect addition to a family with more mature kiddos, since she is mature herself (she is a young 8!), and even has potential with other dogs! 🤩
