Introducing our newest puppy to the Western K9 family! Rowan Whitethorne is my nine month old c**t. Horse training is obviously very different but I love putting my own little dog trainer spin on it. Here he is learning “place command”! 😆

Hard to believe Lula who struggled to keep her cool around dogs as a puppy, is now going to dock diving meets and performing her best!

Laika went from full blown reactivity to people and dogs to being able to walk through a vets office calmly and even receive a treat from the technician!

Buckey and Mae are heading home today after all their hard work. We finished strong with a double stroller walk yesterday using a new double leash attachment! It seemed to do the trick to keep leashes from tangling up! I’ll miss these guys!

🎉 Our next enrichment day is on the calendar for Sunday February 25th from 10 AM-1PM at our usual Sniffspot (25906 Soboba St, Hemet, California 92544) 🎉

This is a great opportunity to get you pupils out of the house after the rainy weather and freshen up their obedience around other dogs and people!

Enrichment activities such as swimming, SwiftPaws, agility provided. There is also a short window at the end of the day for off leash play time if your dog is eligible!

Hey friends! In light of recent concerns about the new canine respiratory illness, we decided this month to forego the monthly enrichment event out of utmost caution.

Most of our pups are not at risk, but it felt irresponsible to host a grouo gathering until there is more info about this mysterious illness!

For now, avoid taking your dog to dog parks, petsmart, or anywhere where they will come nose to nose with other dogs.

Our currently scheduled boarding dogs are still welcome but please watch for symptoms and let me know asap so proper precautions can be taken.

January we will plan to resume our Monthly Enrichment Group as normal to bring your pup consistency, fun, and socialization. Thank you!!

Reminder that this Sunday from 9-12 AM is the monthly enrichment group!

We will have pool time, swift paws, agility and more for activity time and will end with pumpkin painting on place!

This is a great way to get your dog practice around other dogs and people, especially just passively watching during the crafting time!

Sparrow the Aussie/border collie puppy is so smart! Her family wants the best for her so our training plan includes important things like impulse control, enrichment, ecollar obedience, off leash recall, socialization and more! A complete training plan will always have much more than just commands. 😊

Howdy friends! We had a blast at our event today! So impressed with how all the dogs did and it was so fun watching some try the pool, the agility, and the swift paws!

We are planning a paint and sip with your dog for the end of the month. Please let us know if you can come the the morning of Saturday the 28th or the morning of Sunday the 29th. COMMENT BELOW!

This event will include a costume contest, pool, agility, swift paws, and more following this below schedule:

9 AM pool, swift paws, agility with reactivity rules(all must be on leash, respecting distance, and taking turns).

10 AM painting stations-there will be in ground stakes and tie back clips provided if you need help keeping your hands free for painting. This is an EXCELLENT time to practice your dog chilling in the presence of other dogs. Stations will be set up to give dogs space.

11 AM free time-stick around for more fun if your dog is under control and friendly off leash.

note- for those that need a private appointment, contact me and we can set something up before 9.

Pool Party this Saturday!

Here is the schedule to help decide when to bring your pup!

9 AM-individual appointments or double dates for high risk dogs that need extra attention.(please coordinate with Hannah for a time!)
10 AM- Group party with reactivity rules! This means dogs must be on leash, not greeting each other, and owners must communicate and take turns with the activities.
11 AM- Party Animals! This time period is when reactive dogs can head home with a pat on the back for their hard work. Any dogs that are under good control of the owner, and comfortable being off leash among other dogs are free to roam and explore.

During each hour we will have agility set up, a Swift Paws Machine for those who want to try, free nail trims at request, and there is a fun water feature for pups to enjoy.

Kitt coming to visit for a refresh while her humans are on vacay! There’s nothing wrong with a little refresh through the years. Dogs just like humans are changing creatures! You should expect to continuously refresh your dogs skills. This is why I offer discounted refresh programs to my clients so they have a easy way to keep up with their dogs needs despite busy lives! Plus, I always love to see my old friends! 🐾 😊
