I haven’t backed up my vet school laptop for 7 years… and it feels so good every time I see this notice pop up.

Don’t get me wrong, vet school was such a great experience! One I’m happy to leave in the review mirror because it was fun but hard.

Today, instead of cramming vet knowledge in front of this old laptop, I’m entering Biofield Balance Intuitive Assessment case reports. It’s my homework.

I’m working towards using these psychic skills to intuitively scan animal bodies for disease. So far, there are many medical intuitives for humans. Double blind studies revealed high accuracy levels (94-98% accuracy from graduates when compared to current patient medical file). I’m not aware of any certified animal medical intuitives. I’m hoping I can help fill the gap.

Why not use these skills to help animals?

I don’t know what results we’ll get, but I’m here for the ride! For now, I’m taking the first step and learning to strengthen my clairvoyance abilities by learning how to read chakras and auras (something I never thought I’d say…). I’m learning how to read biofields clairvoyantly this spring semester.

Next fall, I start learning how to scan human bodies for disease. Then, I transfer that knowledge over to other animal species, a skill we vets are good with 😉.

Loving all the synchronistic numbers as I open this laptop and keep taking one step at a time 💛

As animal guardians, it is inevitable that some day we will be asked to guide our beloved pets through their transition from one form (in body) to another.

Animal communication has become an incredible asset for me on my journey, and I hope with time and awareness more people will learn the animal soul is eternal.

If you are struggling, or have struggled with the passing of a beloved pet, please consider learning more about the animal’s point view on death. You may find this resource helpful 🖤

Be gentle with your hearts, when it’s your time to walk this sacred path. You are never alone, your animal is guiding you through the decision and the process. Our animals have always been very psychically in tune, often times they plant the ‘idea’ of when it’s time to let their bodies go, lovingly.

Michael developed these Pet Loss Support Workshops to help you navigate the difficult path upon the passing of your beloved animal. An animal's passing is often harder than a human family member's passing and we want you to understand that you’re not “wrong” or “overreacting” by your grief.

This workshop will help you understand your grief, clear unresolved emotions (some of which you may not even be aware are buried deep inside), and help you create a pathway to bring closure and healing to your aching heart.

We hope you leave this workshop smiling in your beloved animal's honor, laughing at the memories, and breathing in deeply their love.

Do our animals reach out to us from ‘the other side’?

Animal communication has led the kids and I to have some interesting conversations about consciousness.

Where does it come from? Does it have a beginning and an end?

“If you clearly talk to animals after they transition mom, there must no end to consciousness. No death of consciousness.”

I think that’s why the animals call it a Transition, instead of death 💚

I wholeheartedly believe our animals do communicate, connect, guide and attempt to protect us at times from their purely conscious form, what we might call the soul.

Hjade asked if she could draw me an image of a girl consciously connecting with her heart-cat after they’ve transitioned. I was excited to see what she’d create for this page.

I love what she brought to life here.

How do you connect with your beloved pets that have transitioned?

Dumb Bunny snuggles me and encourages me to rest longer in the morning sometimes. Her soul gets my attention the easiest when I’m not quite awake yet 🖤🥺

Peeing outside the liter box...

Today I spoke with Sophie, a 15 y.o. cat. She had stable mild to moderate kidney disease and responded well to radiation therapy for hyperthyroid disease. Her kidney and thyroid levels held steady until recently when she started p*eing in her bed in the masterbathroom.

Sophie’s human mom wanted to know; What was Sophie trying to communicate by p*eing in her bed instead of the box? What help does she need?

Percival (her deceased cat housemate) came forward first to speak from ‘Heaven’ during the session. He immediately pointed to progressing OA (osteoarthritis) and kidney disease being the cause..

“Sophie has had some progressive lumbar spine/hip/hindlimb OA. The entrance into the litter box is too high for her. Her kidney disease is having her p*e more frequently, increasing the need to enter and exit the litter box. Naturally it was easier for her to choose her bed. It’s high time to discuss safe OA management with Sophie’s vet.”

Then Sophie chimed in, “Yes, I’m becoming more painful jumping on/off of higher surfaces and getting in the tall liter box entrance. Then, I learned I could p*e in my bed! I didn’t mind that so much, compared to the liter box and the liter itself.”

“It’s also getting harder for me to groom following a liter box visit. I don’t like the liter getting stuck in my paws. Overall it seemed smart to use the bed instead, it was in the bathroom after all. A urinalysis will point them in the right direction, towards slowly progressing kidney disease. It’s NOT because I’m in a multi-cat household like the vet said in their patient notes.”

Sophie says, if her vet agrees it’s safe, she’d respond incredibly well to Solensia, an injectable OA pain management for cats. She also recommended a heating pad under her bed, an easy entrance into the liter box with ‘Yesterday’s News’ kitty liter (won't get stuck in toes).

Hopefully with proper pain management, new liter and a heating pad she’ll stop using her bed instead of the box.

Picture of Sophie enjoying a heated bed tonight as mom shows her she's listening. That facial expression says it all, she’s clearly relaxed here 💛🙏

I first met Percival in his home. I was the in home euthanasia veterinarian there to help his cat family member, Gandalf, pass peacefully.

Percival’s people would eventually ask me to speak to all their pets, and Percival happened to be the first cat I spoke to.

He introduced himself as the house Ambassador for the animals. His role became apparent as he would visit me consciously whenever his humans were about to reach out to me, or his fur family members needed an advocate, a voice.

It seemed natural to ask for Percival’s help when Legolas (see previous post) was hiding in their new home kitchen.

Here’s how my check in went with this wise old soul:

Percival, it’s Marie. Your human dad reached out to me because he’s worried about Legolas hiding. I wanted to start with you, talk to you to see if you can help us understand what Legolas is moving through.

“Legolas is adjusting to the new home. Nothing happened, no big event. He’s being Legolas. We want to make this abundantly clear. Marie, there is no need to worry about Legolas’s health. Moving to this new home signaled a new beginning for all of us. Legolas is processing this all in his own way. No, he’s definitely not stuck. He’s been out to use the litter box at night time.”

"Legolas is overwhelmed with all the change; he will come around on his own time. Apollo and I have been keeping a close watch on things with him. We will alert our dad if there are any concerns for his wellbeing/safety. We will make it clear.”

I trusted Percival’s words, and would have to wait less than 24hrs to get validation.

The next day, again while I was working in my vet role, I got a very excited voice message from their dad. Legolas came out while dad was barely awake in the middle of the night. He gave him a head butt, did what he needed to do, then went back to his den, until the furniture arrived. 💛✨

Moving with animals can be hard. This big change is especially hard for our anxious furry friends…

Meet Legolas.

He dealt with his family’s move to his new home by sneaking into a hole near the stove, with a newly remodeled kitchen.

Understandably his human dad was worried he was stuck. He hadn’t seen him come out in days…

Mom was at the old home, managing moving while dad cared for the fur babes (4 cats, 1 dog) in the new home.

I got an anxious voice message one day while I was working, asking if I could talk to Legolas. See if he was ok? Was he stuck or hurt?

After checking in on Percival’s input (the black Persian house ambassador see next post), this is what Legolas shared:

“Oh, my goodness! CHANGE!! It’s here. I know they had good intentions moving us into the home before the furniture. It’s been a lot for me to process though. OVERWHELMING!! My anxiety!”

“The space is big and open. I have found a good little den to rest in during the day. I am not stuck. I can come and go as I please. I am not overly hungry due to the anxiety in my abdomen. I have been staying somewhat hydrated although not so much that I have to leave my safe space except at night when I feel safest. With all this change and open space, I need a private den.”

"I will make an appearance.... I may lose a little weight but there should be no need for a vet visit. I’m sorry I’ve worried my family so. Once the home is settled, I will begin to come out my shell for the first time since I’ve joined the group. I’m so sorry for worrying my people. Trust everything will be just fine. I’m on my way out.”

And sure enough!!! Legolas made an appearance in the middle of the night, came out of hiding to p*e, eat and drink, before returning to his new found safe space. At least until all the furniture arrived.

Admittedly, I have my own self imposed blocks around speaking to my own animals at the soul level. The block is because a part of me believes “talking to our own pets at the quantum soul level is hard”.

I know it’s not! It’s time to let this negative self-talk go.

Today I decided it’s time to finally talk to Daxter. My handsome tuxedo first found me in a dream, so I knew which kitten from the litter to pick. His face markings were so clear in that precognitive dream.

He’s been a normal bouncy kitten since he joined our family 2 years ago. I love how he connects with me, my kids and most of all, how he connects with his best bud and big brother Jax.

He’s basically the best cat, except for a few exceptions. One being his desire to eat certain plants around my home…

Our first animal communication included me exploring why he exhibits this undesirable behavior. I explained why the plants make his tummy feel upset and how I like to keep them in our home to freshen the air and generally improve our quality of life. I explained the plants help keep me grounded with the emotionally heavy job I have, and he helps too of course!

Here’s what he shared when I asked, why do you plants around the home?

“I eat them when I’m hungry, you know this. Rarely, I do this for attention in the morning, when I want food. I always know it gets you out of bed quickly. However l had not put two and two together yet. I didn’t realize some of the plants made me sick. I HATE throwing up! I really don’t like it. So this information is enough for me to change my behavior. I mean it, Marie!”

Now the waiting game… we see if logic helps him understand that some behaviors are ok to let go.

I’ll keep you posted on the plant situation 💚

Remote animal communication has many applications. I love learning and remembering them all with the help of the animals I speak with.

One application I’d like to highlight today, is having an experienced animal communicator prepare your pet for medical procedures or surgeries.

As a veterinarian, I have behind the scenes knowledge of medical procedures and protocols, which helps.

I find it natural and easy to share details prior to diagnostics/surgeries/treatments like, routine spay/neuters/dental cleanings with possible extractions, and also for more specialized surgeries/procedures.

Taking time to explain the process from the car ride to the vet, all the way home to the pet, while sharing mental images, sensations, messages during a remote animal communication session have yielded wonderful results for my clients. Pets are calmer and more accepting of the process when they know what to anticipate.

A calm relaxed body also tends heal faster…

So next time your pet goes into the vet, consider reaching out to your animal communicator for some help. Especially with those bigger procedures that require a lot of patient compliance, like total hip replacements.

They don’t need to be a vet, to explain the benefits and intentions behind the veterinary care, although that certainly helps 💛

Here’s a picture of Jax recovering from a routine dental cleaning. He did great! I did my best to prepare him by talking to him before hand 💛

I believe offering a gentle transition to our beloved pets, when they let us know they are ready, is one of the most beautiful selfless gifts we can offer them

When a family chooses to let a bonded pair cross the rainbow bridge side by side, the grief is unimaginable, the unconditional love is strong

To let two friends, two family members, two fur babes transition together is a selfless act for the bonded humans

I have helped about 7 families in a time where both pets grew old together, often from childhood, and both grew tired, sore and ill together

Talking with animals at the soul level has helped me navigate this tender moment with a new perspective

Most commonly the family chooses to sedate the bonded pair together. It’s beautiful watching how the pair relax into a pain free happy sleep. Often by this point the pair are laying side by side, touching 🖤

Then I make the conscious choice to send the older soul, of the two through their transition first. The older soul has journeyed through the death of the body and into the soul realms many more times than the younger soul. Often times they are meant to be a guide to help the younger soul along the same path. So, I lovingly send them across the rainbow bridge first

Then the younger soul follows, as I remind them there is nothing to fear. All they need to do is follow the love, go find their friend, they’ll show the way 💕🌈✨💛

Many of you may not know that the primary service I offer in veterinary medicine is in-home euthanasias

I travel to people’s homes around Northwestern Oregon and SW Washington State providing gentle transitions to cats, dogs, rabbits, rats, chickens…

I love this work! As an empath I feel emotions deeply, which also means I’ve learned to be very comfortable with intense emotions

It also means, I have a unique perspective of the animal-human heart bond. I have the honor to see the culmination of years of shared love

It also means, I see the deep sorrow… 🖤

If I could share just one thing in that moment that I’ve learned from speaking to animals it would be this

To help them remember that helping a friend’s soul leave a physical shell with love does NOT mean we say goodbye for eternity

There is always a heart to heart and soul to soul bond that remains. We all find each other again

It’s never a forever goodbye 💛

Animal Communication – How could it theoretically work?

People have been asking, How does this work? How can you possibly talk to an animal you’ve never met? The distant communication piece is hard to let go of…

Admittedly, I have been curious too! My scientific background had me asking the same questions (my track through vet school (and prior) was “Investigative Medicine”).

As I asked questions, I began finding what felt like little pieces of answers. I’ll share some of those pieces with you now, and in future posts.

The big picture I like to use is the classic iceberg analogy. Here is my 11-year-old daughter’s digital interpretation of that image.

Our PHYSICAL Reality is just the tip of the iceberg… (statistically it’s 11% of the iceberg mass).

Quantum physics has taught us that this PHYSICAL Reality is made from an ENERGETIC Reality (the other 89%). In the image, I consider the submerged part of the iceberg represents this ‘hidden’ truth. Everything in our PHYSICAL reality is composed of ENERGY, vibrating energy in the form of light or waves.

Meanwhile, both the PHYSICAL and the ENERGETIC Realities rest in the ocean’s waters, our CONSCIOUS Reality. We could all be drops of water in this ocean. Each drop of water is a part of a greater stream of consciousness. Here we are all connected…

It is at this quantum CONSCIOUS Reality, outside of time and space, where consciousness is INDEPENDENT of the human brain… this is where we connect and listen to a new perspective from our animals.

In order to accept distant animal communication and communication with deceased animals is possible, we must accept that our sense of self, our I AM/CONSCIOUS experience is something that does not originate from the human brain. The body and brain are instead the receiver of consciousness.

Animal Communication - How I talk to animals

When I speak to animals, I begin by lighting a candle. Then I clearly set my intentions. I am about to do step out into the conscious ethers, my intentions protect me. It’s not always safe out there, other things can try to come in that aren’t wanted, potentially disrupting information. I set the intention that only the information that is in the bonded human’s and animal’s highest good comes forward.

The White Stag, my animal communication spirit guide, always retrieves the animal soul before a communication. It’s the intention I’ve set. As simple as that sounds… intention is all that is required to talk to a specific animal. I know I’m talking to Fluffy and no one else because I’ve set clear intentions.

I sit down, once the space is consciously set, my mind is free of clutter, and my heart is open. An open heart is key to hearing animals. I speak to them with my conscious awareness in my feelings and my heart not my thoughts and head. When I say we hear the animals, maybe I really mean we feel them?

Then, I pull out my journal, write the date and time down. I open my clients email and I begin. Writing as I go, I introduce myself to the animal. I explain my purpose and the plan for the communication. Then I ask for their consent. Would they like to communicate with me today, on behalf of their people?

That’s when I see and feel them approach. They often show their mannerisms and personalities they have in the physical reality. I feel them, send them love, trying to reassure my intentions are good and pure.

I mostly hear the animals as another voice in my head. Although sometimes they show me things, have me feel things or I just know.

I write down what I hear from the animal as I make my way through writing out my client’s email. The emails have a picture of the animal, a heartfelt message from the bonded human(s), pertinent history, and questions for the animal.

Hand writing the conversation is so helpful for several reasons, including documentation. But the primary reason is that the act of writing keeps my logical left brain busy, it loves tasks. While my right intuitive brain listens to the messages coming through my conscious heart and allows me to hear the animal.

At the very end, I always ask the animal what they’d like to share with us. This is always fun, as we get more of their perspective. What they really want their people to know.

I finish by genuinely thanking them for their time and remind them that I will share everything with their people. I thank all the souls that came in to help facilitate the communication as well. Then, I send them all on their way as I close my boundaries, turn off my ability by blowing out my candle.

Once I’ve closed the session, I set up a phone call or video chat to talk to the bonded humans about what we learned.

As always, thank you for following along! And never forget to talk to your animals. They hear you, it’s up to them if they listen.

08/06/2022

Hot Cocoa (not pictured here), a 2 y.o. FS DSH, found me through my dear vet friend. Dr Victoria and the veterinary team at an adoption team had been preparing Hot Cocoa for her furever home. She had a congenital eyelid defect, where she was born with little to no upper eyelids.

Hot Cocoa had a surgery to make new upper eyelids, to maintain healthy moist eyes. However, the new eyelids had some hair growing towards her cornea, predisposing her to corneal ulcers. To treat this problem, they considered using cryosurgery.

The questions we had for Hot Cocoa were - does she want her remaining eye removed? Or would she prefer cryosurgery to freeze/kill the hair follicles to prevent fur from growing into her eye?

Her answer was clear.

“I know they were trying to help me… I could feel it in their hearts. I never was meant to use my eyes though. I’m here to learn how to feel…”

“Humans are funny, they always want to try and fix things. My body has made it pretty clear that I’m not meant to have eyes… All these people have functional eyes and they rely on them so much! So, I get why they tried so hard to help me, and continue to do so. I’m not upset about all this. It’s been an interesting journey.”

“My eye sight out of that eye is crap, honestly. That video of me ‘chasing’/‘tracking’ the laser shows it clearly. I want the eye to go. If they try cryosurgery first they will have to remove the eye eventually anyways.”

Eventually Hot Cocoa found her furever home and her new human parents brought her to a specialist. Turns out she had a congenital defect affecting her optic nerve… called optic nerve coloboma, where the optic nerve does not completely form.

She was blind after all! She fooled a few vets with her navigation skills… while her animal communication session pointed us in the right direction!

Yet another application for animal communication - asking the patient for their point of view and what treatment option they desire. Sometimes we are born in special ways, so we can have special experiences.

Thank you Dr Victoria and Hot Cocoa 💛

I talked to Turkleton, a now 5.5 year old handsome boy back in June 2020. His bonded human/his mom, who bottle raised him from a few days old, reached out to me to see if I could help. Her best friend was acting strange ever since their 11 month old human son Jackson arrived.

We asked Turkleton what was going on? Why was he giving MaKenna so much space and distance? Poor MaKenna was fearing she had upset her best fur bud with the addition of an infant in the home.

Wasn’t the case at all!!!

Communication is so powerful…

Turkleton was doing what cats do when a new litter arrives… he was giving them space to bond.

I gently reminded him his magic and healing happen through his touch, his purr, his presence…. ✨🫶🏻😻

That’s all Turkleton needed to hear! Within an hour or so of us talking, he did a 180 and was back to being his mom’s best friend and energy healer, because that’s part of our agreements with our bonded animals….

Turkleton and MaKenna have been walking side by side since! I always love updates from clients. This one is from April 2022 🥰

Thank you MaKenna and Turkleton 💛

Talking to miss Leeza has brought many firsts my way. I wanted to share a few here.

This is the first time I’ve spoken to the same animal more than 3 times. I spoke to her, using distant animal communication 12 times so far. I’ve also journeyed to her in meditation. I pulled out all the tools I’ve learned to help this girl.

Leeza also had me explore fear from a new perspective, the perspective of a lost dog with a long journey ahead. I cried with her, for her because, as I’ve learned on my own path, the true healing happens when we walk through our fears... so I ‘walked/ran’ with Leeza as she took one step after the other, until the day she told me I had helped her as much as I could... it was time to “sit back and watch this miracle unfold from a distance”.

I foolishly believed that getting Leeza home would be the end of the journey. I forgot she needed her Dogventure along the way. I also forgot that it wasn’t just Leeza going on this journey.... her Dogventure has taken her owners, the community looking for her everyday, myself and so many others on our own journeys of healing.

I hope your Dogventure is bringing you all the experiences you need Leeza. I also think it’s time to come home soon. Don’t you?
