Any of my FB friends who live nearby; I'm having a big sale of Christmas items on Friday, 10/18 from 2-5, and Saturday, 10/19 from noon to 5. This is totes and totes and TOTES of items from the estate of a friend. Wreaths, nativity scenes, glass blown ornaments, fabric ornaments, vintage ornaments, Christmas lights (some new in box), festive center pieces, crafting items, greeting cards and so much more! When Scott decides to do something, he gets right on it! After having this "open" concept tack room for 20+ years (OMG has it really been that long???), he decided to close it in. Looks great so far! More photos as progress continues.

Last show of the WWHSA season; Saturday was hunter, and Sunday was dressage. Everyone did well, and I think had a great time! Emerson did dressage for just the 2nd time, and her hunter classes were HUGE!, but she still managed to get a 2nd place ribbon in that crowd. Jo had her boy out for just the 2nd time to a show, and came home Grand Champions in their division. Caitlin switched horses at the last minute; so only had one ride on Bella while schooling the previous night, before putting in some really nice rides. Kaia and Rex keep improving in the hunter ring, but they really shone in the dressage ring today! Finally, Anessa figured out all the right buttons to push and had two AMAZING rides on Bella in her training level classes (too bad Bella was distracted and hollering for her pal Zoey during the first test, but Anessa prevailed!) Thanks to Julie Harter for promoting and running the show. Thanks to Scott Windmiller for hauling horses, and helping out where needed. Thanks for Allyson Butler for taking over coaching while I iced my knee! Great job!!! Thanks as well to the parents; Sarah Baldwin Lallaman, Kristine Pehler, Joshua van Tol and Tonya van Tol and everyone else who helped with braiding, bringing donuts, transporting kids, grooming, cleaning stalls, and CHEERING EVERYONE ON!!!
(not many photos as the show was indoors, and lighting wasn't the best.)

I'd like to introduce Allyson Butler "Ally", as a new addition to the Diamond W Ranch! Ally has loads of experience with hunters/jumpers and dressage, and can give lessons as well as ride! Congratulations to our Grand and Reserve Champions at our horse show this past Sunday!! Everyone was looking good!
In a very full Walk/trot division, Grand was Nia Vutova on Picture Perfect, and Reserve was Vivianne Kramer on Dilly Dally.
In another crowded division, the Cross rails Grand Champion was Kaia Van Tol riding Her Broomstick, and Reserve was Delaney Erickson on Rio.
The Beginning Rider Grand was Makayla Nelson on Reaching for the Sky, and Reserve was Jacey Hauser on Gus.
Schooling Hunter Grand Champion was Shailyn Wilk on Beezie, and Reserve was Jadyn Sherburne on Sunshine.
In the Novice Rider division the Grand went to Teagen Willie riding Posh, and Reserve was Caitlyn Heuser on Re*****on Steele.
Congrats to all riders for coming out on Sunday and doing your best!!!

Photos from the Diamond W Ranch hunter show today, 8/25/24. I wasn't able to get too many photos as I was announcing part of the time, and when I wasn't, I couldn't move around too much from the one spot I was in! Anyway, feel free to steal any photos of yourself. I sure enjoy taking the pictures, and love seeing the kids from year to year as they progress. Thanks to everyone who came out today!!

I want to say a special thanks to everyone who came out to our show today, as well as everyone who helped. Being just 4 days post new knee surgery I certainly needed the extra help!! Thanks to our judge, Cathy Geary; to Carol Howard for taking charge of registration and figuring Championships; to Dennis Wilson for helping with ribbons and jump crew; to the Greenwood girls (yes, Mom, that includes you!) Michelle, Emily and Hannah for running the concession stand; to Kaia Van Tol and Nana for all the pre-show cleanup and set up (jump painting and all); to Johanna Jessee, for all the work that you do ALL the time, and helping Scott at the end of the day with barn clean-up; to the whole Bit N Bridle crew and Samantha Heuser Cunningham for helping with the gate and with jumps; and forever thankful to Scott Windmiller for all the gazillions of things he did, and does daily, to help keep things running even when I am unable to help. You all helped to put on a wonderful show, and it is appreciated more than you know.

Looking for some extra help for the hunter show here on the 25th. Not sure how much I'll be able to do 4 days after surgery! Would like to find someone to do announcing.... Johnson? Possibly also some help at the gate and with ribbons. Already have help in registration, concessions, jump crew and coaching! TIA!

So last week was our dressage show here, and although it was smaller, the people who came and showed had a good time! Thanks to our judge Carmen Quandahl, who even stayed after the show to do a couple of lessons. Thanks also to those who picked up my camera to take photos, since I was busy reading tests! Reminder of our upcoming hunter show on Sunday, August 25th. This is a fund raiser for the Trempealeau County Humane Society; featuring a bake sale and Chinese Raffle. Anyone is welcome to bring baked goods to sell for the TCHS, and I also will take baskets, gift cards, artwork, whatever for the raffle. Baked goods can be brought the day of the show, however, I'd like to have raffle items BEFORE August 20th. I'm having surgery on the 21st, and would like to get everything organized before that date!
