We lost Oscar the kitten. His liver and kidneys stopped functioning. He continued to deteriorate after a trip to the vet who put him on steroids & IV fluids but he passed away in my arms last night. He’ll be cremated up the back of the ranch as this was always his home and now final resting place. The good news is none of the other kittens are showing any similarities and thus seemed just an isolated incident with Oscar. Even had the vet stumped as to why this happened 😩

Hey G. Rancher's,
I'm putting out the APB for any hay donations for the cows. We just went through another freeze and the pasture can no longer supply them their necessary nutrients. The cabin's income which I use to support the animals isn't enough this month. The cabin is only booked for one weekend in January. I know it's a bad time of year for people to take vacations but if you would share our AirBnB link to anyone you know who needs a peaceful get-a-way, I'll post the link in the comments. Or if anyone has a spare $15, for $15 you get to purchase a hay bale which feeds the herd for a day. I'll also post Tractor Supply (where I get the hay) electronic gift card link in the comments. Thanks for your continued support during these trying times. Myself & the animal's appreciate it. Reach out below with any questions.

It was brought to my attention recently that I don't feature the animals that live here on the ranch so without further ado, may I introduce to you the G Ranch animals

The cabin has been booked back to back lately with Hurricane Beryl refugees with multiple pets. They couldn’t find any accommodations that would accept them & their pets. Welcome to the G Ranch where everyone is accepted here.

Our latest guests at the G Ranch cabin shared their photo album with me and it shows them having a good time with their dog, relaxing on the front porch, feeding the cows & making food using herbs from the cabin herb garden. Book your next dogcation with us. Link in comments below.

Today, walking around the G Ranch

So the G Ranch cows have made a new friend. This is the neighbors horse ( recently acquired ) and presently doesn’t have any other animals/ friends. My cows have over 10 acres of which to lay around in but they choose to lay by the fence line to be near the horse. I’ll leave the ranch in the morning to see them like this, only to come home at the end of the day to see them like this. 😆

Life on the G Ranch & Rescue
The G Ranch was created by an Australian vegan and her Canadian meat eating husband. They run their ranch much like they run their marriage, with acceptance & understanding of people (& animals) differences and embrace them. The G Ranch is part animal sanctuary and part hobby farm. When you come and stay at The G Ranch you can expect to experience the following:
Peace and serenity. We are located just outside of a small rural town called Groesbeck in central Texas. The G Ranch cannot be located by any GPS and theres no map you will find with our private road on it. You have to be given instructions on how to find the place. As a result we have a very peaceful and quiet existence with the exception of wild & domestic animal noises.
Interaction with animals. The G Ranch rescue and harbor animals that need homes. Our animals range from domestic pets like cats & dogs to farm animals like cows, chickens, rabbits, goats and pigs. If you like to interact with animals then you’ll love your experience at The G Ranch. Not to mention we also have an array of wild animals that we welcome to the ranch in the form of deer, skunks, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, hawks, owls, squirrels and a resident armadillo (to name a few).
We are in the throws of creating a large scale organic garden and orchard. Feel free to come and gather fruits, vegetables and herbs from the garden along with collecting fresh eggs so you may never have to go to the supermarket.
Love hiking, fishing or boating? We have Fort Parker State Park just minutes down the road. We also have Lake Mexia less than a mile where you can experience kayaking. We also have places of interests near by like Old Fort Parker and the Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site. Additionally Waco is a short 40 minute drive where you can visit Chip & Joanna Gains famous Magnolia Silos that helped put Waco on the map.
At The G Ranch anything is possible. You just have to come and find out for yourself.
