Hello everyone! So I've been getting asked about this bacterial lunge infection in dogs that's been going around. Here is a video describing what it is and the signs.
First of all, I keep my shop as clean as I can and none of your babies come in contact with others (no one touches), this is why I'm a kennel person. But yes it's a coughing thing, so there's always a risk.
Second, I have stopped taking new clients for over a year now, so I know all my furbabies and owners pretty well. So if you know your pet isn't feeling well or has a cough, please keep them at home and I will reschedule you.
Third, you know your pet best. Vet clinics, grooming facilities, boarding facilities, and dogs parks are busy places with lots of dogs in and out, so avoid those places if you're worried.
Fourth, I can't tell you your pet is 100% risk free at any of those places, not even my own shop, so do whatever makes you feel better and safer for your pet. I will reschedule whoever I need to, but please keep in mind that this is the Holiday season, so I'm already booked out 8 weeks in advance, so you'll have to wait until your next apt, possibly later. I know this is stressful for everyone, but we'll get passed this. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas🎄 and New Year🥳! God Bless 🙏❤️

Starting September 1st 2023 I will have to start charging a fee for "no show, no calls" (missed appointment). I know summer is a busy time for everyone, but I've had a huge increase of no shows over the past couple of months. I know things happen, but I can't generally fill an open spot the same day and a simple text the day before helps me ALOT. So starting Sept. 1st, small dogs will be charged a $10 fee per dog for no shows, medium dogs $15, and large dogs $20. Fee will be paid on missed date either through Venmo or PayPal or tacked onto the following appointment. I completely understand that emergencies happen, but please just let me know! This is my lively hood and I work hard on pre-scheduling and re-scheduling everyone's appointments. I hope everyone can understand. Thank you!

Poodles!! Not doodles, but poodles 😉😂 Their haircuts vary more than any others. It all comes down to your choice of fashion, ease of maintenance or simplicity. These breeds are always so much fun.

Doodles come in almost every shape, size, color and coat. They are not an actual breed (mixed); therefore, they don't have a specific hair style, but most generally they all have a "look" ❤ Whether your doodle has curly soft hair, wired and straight or the opposites, they will have their own look. One won't always look like the other, but they are beautiful and lots of work. Longer hair isn't always better with these dogs, for they mat extremely easy. (Esp if you don't brush at home) Short hair doesn't mean shaved and longer doesn't mean wooly. Somewhere in the middle is always a beautiful look for these guys and easier to manage for you, me and your fur baby. ❤️

Winter is basically here! If you're wanting to keep your puppies hair long this year, you may want to invest in a dematting rake. The teeth are serrated to cut through those yucky mats. (Be careful they are sharp!) Daily brushing is very important for those wooly dogs such as DOODLES!!

Yikes! Keep an eye for fleas and ticks.

This tick has been hanging around for us to show people for a while. After months in a sealed container with no additional feeding she laid eggs. This gives you an idea of how long a tick can be dormant and how many eggs one female can lay. Remember ticks bloom again in the fall so keep up with prevention.
