Merry Christmas from our foster boy, Luke! He’s asked Santa to keep an eye out for his forever family! We hope they notice how handsome and photogenic he is and contact us! He’s a perfect gentleman, a wonderful house dog, playful and loving. He is smart and happy, eager to please and motivated bu treats, praise and toys. He’s a typical Cattle Dog so read his bio on the website before you apply. He is currently living in his Portland area foster home but we would happily arrange to drive him for the perfect match.

You can see the relief in Harvey’s eyes, his before and after rescue pictures. Harvey is straight of the streets in Oklahoma. He is just 12 months old and had been fending for himself with a broken leg. He weigh just 25lbs and we think he is a Beagle mix. So grateful to have food and shelter, Harvey is a sweet easy soul. He gets along with other dogs and cats. His leg has healed so it would take major surgery to fix it. He seems to get along fine with his stiff leg. Harvey is looking for a forever home but for now, a foster home would be great. He will make his way north the first part of January.

Please meet one of our newest rescues. He looks a little moth eaten but he has a heart of gold. Wesley is approximately 2years old and had been living on his own. He’s now on the mend and we are addressing his skin issues. The hairlessness is due to fleas and he developed an infection. Wesley weighs 78lbs. He is house trained. He loves to play with all the other dogs large or small. He is very gentle around all of them. He is such a sweet soul. Please consider adopting or fostering him. He is currently in Oklahoma and will make his way north in January.

Ohmygosh!!! This boy!!! 🥹🥰😇 We all love him so much!!
Luke went and asked Santa for a forever mom to call his own. He doesn’t mind a forever dad too, but he is truly a ladies man!!! Forever dad can not be the jealous type. Luke’s foster people adore him. He is easy to fall for; completely trustworthy in the home, very entertaining with his goofball antics, stuck to his person like glue, super good at being a personal lap/foot/bed warmer, also a bit scary looking when he’s nervous of strangers or when feeling a bit protective. A single woman would definitely feel empowered to have him as her sidekick. He does not have a mean bone in his body however… He’s been described as a squishy marshmallow. Luke has worked hard to lose almost 30 # and he’s gained some leash skills in his current foster home, so would be a great walking or hiking buddy. He loves the pool, so a mom who likes beach adventures would be the BEST! Anyone who knows and loves Cattle Dogs would understand the quirks that come with these dogs. He loves fiercely, plays hard, and is always on duty around strangers or in the face of chaos. Luke likes other dogs but not all dogs love him. Hes a bit intense in his play style. He likes his person most, though. We don’t know if Luke has been around cats. Message us if you want to know more about him and/or go to the website to fill out an adoption application. We know this is not an Australian Shepherd, but we love Australian Cattle Dogs too!! Sweet Rigatoni is currently being fostered in Tacoma WA. He is the smartest, most affectionate boy ever. He does have a few Cattle Dogs traits but anyone who knows herding breed dogs will find them endearing. He settled in to his temporary home and has been a perfect house guest, always doing his business outdoors, keeping a clean and tidy kennel, walking politely on leash and recalling quickly when off leash. He even makes a point to allow his foster folks to rub his belly whenever they want. This guy is a Velcro pup! He’s about two years old, neutered and fully vaccinated. He does tend to activate full Cattle Dog mode when around other dogs so any existing dogs must understand his language. We don’t know if he’s been around cats but he does seem to like kids. If you’ve been wanting to adopt a low maintenance, medium energy pooch who only wants to please his person, this may be your guy. He could learn tricks, be a scent tracker or obedience prospect, or he could just be your foot warmer. He has been very accepting of introductions to people, and seems to really love humans of every size. Message us or go to the website to learn more about him and fill out an adoption application.
