Big ‘ol thunder chicken…he’ll be completely vertical once his back feathers dry a little more then once completely dried I’ll paint the head, feet, and put him on a custom barn board shadow box! Lots of steps left in the process but the majority is done 🥲

***IMPORTANT UPDATE***

I have been getting some inquiries on current work and it’s no secret I am behind. This post is to let everyone know where I’m at and what to expect.

There has been a lot of change in my life to include taking a promotion, going to a different shift, and having two young boys that require more of my time. I’m extremely passionate about taxidermy and love doing it but it is not my full time job, and unfortunately, I’m struggling to log a lot of hours in the shop. I will not be able to turn a lot of birds out between now and July due to that fact.

The good news is that in July, we are implementing new shifts at my regular job which, in theory, will allow me some more time to work on birds.

Currently, I am working on 2022 birds and, though I can’t give you an exact date of completion due to the aforementioned facts, can tell you with certainty they will be done this year.

If this is unacceptable for you I totally understand and you can have your bird back with the deposit. I would only caution you that most reputable taxidermist are about 2-3 years out so it may just set you back further.

Going forward I WILL NOT be taking in any new work…zero, ziltch, nothing…until I am caught up. If you shoot something you want mounted between now and then I can send you to a good bird guy/gal.

I truly appreciate all of you and all of your patience and know that when you get your birds back you will not be disappointed!
