Today I had the absolute pleasure to meet Lisa, Founder and Owner at Aquatic Paws and Miss Liz at their Chantilly location.

I love learning about every small business owner’s WHY and how it all started. Beamer, her German Shepherd, developed DM and Lisa was not going to give up on him. She researched medicines and alternative therapies to help him.

Two re-occurring modalities were massage and weightless exercise.....swimming. There was no place locally she could safely take her dog to swim privately. Thus the concept of Aquatic Paws was born.

Highly recommend Aquatic Paws! I have heard so many great things from mutual clients how it has helped their pets after injuries, weight loss, build muscle on those hind legs and more!

We are so happy to support retired working K9's through the Paws Of Honor program. An amazing benefactor has donated multiple times allowing us to offer this benefit to the pups once they retire. Astra is a weekly visitor at our Falls Church location. She alternates between the pool and the underwater treadmill. 🩷

The first picture is my favorite taken on this day in 2009 ❤️. The 2nd picture is his last picture taken on this day in 2016. 💔 Our fur babies mean the world to us.

Well Hot Diggity Dog! 🎉We passed all inspections 🎉 Once we stop the little pool leak and fix the drive shaft on the treadmill we can open🎊🎉

Yesterday we had a very special new pup start with us. Roger. Roger is currently in a foster home and is available for adoption thru Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue. He was rescued from the the streets of Texas over the summer. He had TPLO surgery in late July and is ready to exercise and most importantly, find his forever home. He is roughly 2 ½, basic training, 70 lbs, good with dogs (unsure about cats) came with his foster mom and young foster human sibling. Did I mention Roger was oh so sweet!!! So if you are looking to adopt soon, Roger may be your "one"! More photos in the comments section.
