❄️Dingo A359522, 5yrs, Neutered Male, 62.4, Heartworm Negative❄️
Dingo has been at Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas for 271 days! He’s a gentle and calm dog who enjoys affection and will gladly take all the attention you give him. He walks well on a leash, and loves hanging out by your side while munching on treats. He shares his kennel with another dog, but does prefer to eat in his own space.
Dingo has some medical needs related to an old injury in his right hind leg. He has mild muscle loss, limited movement in the leg, and it appears slightly shorter. X-rays show an older dislocation of his femur from the hip joint, which has started to heal on its own but could benefit from surgery (called an FHO) to improve his comfort and quality of life.
Dingo originally came to the shelter for quarantine after reportedly biting a citizen. However, during his time here, he has been nothing but a good boy, showing gentle and friendly behavior with staff and volunteers.

These three adorable 4-week-old puppies came into our care today and are looking for a foster or rescue to help them thrive outside the shelter. At such a young age, shelter life can be overwhelming, and puppies always do better in a loving environment where they can grow and play.
These little ones are currently eating mush and are under treatment for ringworm, so they’ll need a safe, clean space to continue healing. Indigo is a sweet and playful gal with piercing blue eyes that’ll catch your attention right away. She loves belly rubs, rolling in the grass, and soaking up affection from anyone willing to give it.
When Indigo’s happy, she shows it with zoomies that are guaranteed to make you laugh. She’s also a fan of treats and knows sit & down! She shares her kennel with another dog.

Indigo does have some medical challenges with her right hind leg. Our vet suspects she may have an old hip injury or hip dysplasia that has caused stiffness and limited movement in the joint. Despite this, Indigo doesn’t let it slow her down and still enjoys being active and playful.

Gracie- A407354 - Adult 66lb (5-year age estimate) Spayed Female-German Shepherd. Intake Date: 11/21/24

This beautiful girl is possibly suffering from neurologic issues that make life in the shelter difficult for her. Gracie's front legs sometimes buckle over when she walks causing some abrasions and wounds. She is very sweet and doesn't seem to let this keep her from enjoying life. Gracie has been eating less in the last few days, and we worry she is starting to feel the stress of the shelter. Radiographs do not show any obvious evidence of orthopedic issues. Gracie is currently cohoused with another dog.

🌸Puddle A407770, 7wks, Female, 1.5lbs🌸

Puddle is a 7-week-old, 1.5-pound tuxedo kitten who’s facing a bit of a rough start. She’s battling an upper respiratory infection (URI) and some hair loss, which has led her to be moved into isolation for closer care. But while she’s getting the attention she needs, the shelter environment isn’t the best place for such a small, fragile kitten.

Despite her health challenges, Puddle’s sweet personality shines through. She’s calm, gentle, and so deserving of a warm, quiet space where she can fully recover and grow into the playful kitten she’s meant to be.

Puddle’s future is bright, but she needs the right environment to help her heal.

❤️SEEKING RESCUE❤️
A407817, 10months old, Male, 37lbs
This poor boy arrived as a stray with severe swelling on the right side of his face. While we’re unsure of the cause, our veterinarian suspects it could be caused by a variety of things including a possible insect/snake bite, or cellulitis, a skin infection caused by bacteria entering tissue under the skin, leading to painful swelling.
Our team has already started treatment to help him feel better, but this sweet pup needs a rescue to ensure he gets the specialized care he deserves. On top of his facial injury, he is also underweight. Despite his condition, he remains very sweet and his tail wags every time someone approaches his kennel. 🥹

💙A407808, 3yrs, Male, 89lbs, Heartworm Positive💙
This sweet pup recently came into our care after a concerned citizen found him injured as a stray. While we don’t know how he got hurt, it’s clear he’s in pain.
Upon arrival, our veterinary team conducted radiographs and discovered a closed mid-diaphyseal fracture of his left tibia. He is currently receiving pain medication to keep him comfortable, but he will most likely require surgical repair to heal properly and regain full mobility.
He would greatly benefit from a rescue group that can take over his care, provide the necessary medical treatment, and help him start his journey to recovery. 🌙Spike A407722, 11wks, Male🌙
Seeking Rescue

Spike, an 11-week-old kitten, was brought to us by a concerned citizen after being found with an injured front leg. Although he can stand and walk, his right front leg drags, and he avoids putting weight on it. Radiographs show no fractures or luxations, but it appears he has nerve damage in the leg. There is no withdrawal or deep pain response when his toes are pinched, though no pain is detected during palpation.

Recovery is uncertain, and if the nerve damage does not improve, amputation may be necessary to ensure Spike can live a comfortable, pain-free life. Despite his injury, Spike is sweet and cooperative, allowing medical handling without issue.

We are urgently seeking rescue placement for Spike to give him the best chance at recovery and a brighter future. Can your rescue help this brave little guy?

Frito is the handsomest boy with the personality of a giant teddy bear! He absolutely loves affection and never says no to a good cuddle session. When Frito arrived, his skin was itchy, inflamed, and missing most of its fur. His skin is red and scabbed, but he’s on medication and receiving medicated baths from one of our dedicated volunteers. She’s described him as sweet, calm, and easy to walk on a leash—a true gentleman! ❤️

🍂A407732, 2Yrs, Male, Heartworm Negative🍂

This sweet boy arrived at the shelter on 11/29/24, brought in by animal control after he was possibly hit by a car. He has some abrasions on his front legs and chest, and while he’s able to bear weight on all four legs, his right front leg buckles under him.

Radiographs have ruled out fractures or dislocations, but our medical team suspects nerve damage, which may or may not improve with time. If it doesn’t, this brave pup might require an amputation in the future.

Despite everything he’s been through, this boy has been nothing but sweet. He’s getting around as best as he can and has been a champ, allowing our medical team to care for him without any fuss.

Despite everything, he’s still moving forward, proving how resilient he is. He just needs someone to give him the support and care to help him on this journey.

Ladybug is a sweet 10-month-old pup who’s looking for a little extra TLC. She’s a bit shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up and show her affectionate side. Once she gets comfortable, she’s quick to seek out pets and cuddles.
Ladybug has a medical issue with her left front limb. She doesn’t put weight on it and drags it when she walks. X-rays didn’t show any fractures or dislocations, so it's suspected to be a soft tissue injury or possible nerve issue.

Bubbles is still just a pup but has a BIG personality and even bigger floppy ears that give her the cutest look. She’s full of puppy energy, always ready for playtime and excitement. Like many young dogs, Bubbles is still learning her manners—her excitement can lead to jumping up, and she would benefit from training and guidance. She doesn't mind affection and shares her kennel with another dog.

Inky is a one-of-a-kind pup with a grey head that looks like it was dipped in ink! He is an energetic guy who loves to play and chase after a ball, but equally happy for some cuddles and affection. He’s a people-loving pup who has been nothing but sweet and tolerant with shelter staff, even when being handled or carried.
Inky came to us as a stray for quarantine purposes after reportedly biting a citizen. He’s also a bit of a solo artist when it comes to other dogs, as he prefers not to share his space with canine companions and has gotten into a few scuffles. For this reason, Inky now has to be kenneled alone.

Meet Balto, a stunning blue-eyed husky who’s been through quite an ordeal but is now on the road to recovery. This handsome boy came into our care in rough shape, having been attacked by another dog. He was covered in mud and had bite wounds and punctures all over his body. Thanks to our amazing vet staff, Balto has received the care he needed and is starting to feel better.

While most of his injuries are healing well, Balto is still dealing with a torn paw pad that requires some extra TLC. Despite everything he’s been through, Balto has remained a sweet and resilient pup, and he’s ready to start the next chapter of his life in a loving home.Balto already knows how to sit and would love to show off his skills for a tasty treat!
