It's not lost on me that I'm trusted so much with caring for your family members. It's a whole other level of trust when someone needs me for an entire month.
Gypsy and his sister Bella are no strangers to my presence, but they struggle with company who isn't their mum. I've looked after them numerous times before, but it's never been long enough to really bond with them. Bella is semi-feral so she is usually under a bed. After several weeks, she is comfortable sleeping on top of the bed when I'm around. Sounds minor, but that's a win in my book. Gypsy has blossomed beautifully and loves getting head scratches. He rubs against my legs while I'm dishing out their food.
I'm hoping the next time I see them, the progress continues.

Just wanted to take a quick second to express my gratitude for everyone part of the Queen City Pets family! Whether you're someone who only needs me a couple days a year, someone who just likes all of my social media posts, or if you're one of my weekly folks, I appreciate you so much.
I was happy to help some families out this week with their pets so they could be with their family for the holiday- this giant potato being one of them 😁

✨Reactive Dogs Are Good Dogs️✨️
One of the things that isn't talked about enough is spending literally ANY time away when you have a reactive dog. You can't hire just anyone off the street, and someone in your family may not always be available to help. Then what??
I was so honored to be contacted by someone who simply wanted to attend some college football games with their family this Fall, but felt guilty leaving their sweet dog home alone all day. We worked together, with the help of her amazing trainer, Wonderpup Dog Training & Behavior Services, to get Piper comfortable with the idea of a stranger coming to spend time with her. They also took the time to go through her walking protocol and tools they've been working on to limit her reactivity to people and dogs outside.
It's such a good feeling to be trusted by, of course the dog herself, but her owner as well 🐾♡

The last couple days have felt very Fall here! Is anyone else as excited as I am? This was Sadie's walk yesterday, and as you can see, the leaves have begun to change!

I have NO overnight pet sittings scheduled for September 🤯 Full availability after the 6th. Historically, it's a slow month with kids going back to school anyways. If you're looking for an excuse to get away, look no further 👀

The corgis just got back from a walk in the pouring rain. That calls for some ZOOMIES
