Meet Sable. Sable is a Registered Veterinary Technician. This position is very similar to an RN. Sable started working with pets in 2008. Her favorite clients to come in are new puppy and kitten owners. She has 3 cats at this time. On her days not working with patients she goes hiking, she watches movies, and she loves going to football games. Give Sable some love.

How are my cat’s teeth cleaned?
After the mouth is evaluated and diseased teeth noted on your cat’s medical chart, tooth scaling will be performed, using both hand and ultrasonic scalers, to remove tartar above and below the gum line. The tartar below the gum line causes the most significant periodontal disease, so its removal is important.

After scaling, the teeth are polished to remove microscopic scratches and decrease the rate of subsequent plaque build-up. Sealer application may be recommended to decrease plaque accumulation.

Now through January 31, all donations made to VCA Charities at VCA Animal Hospitals throughout California will support disaster relief efforts, including support for pets impacted by the current devasting fires in the Los Angeles area. VCA Animal Hospitals is proud to support VCA Charities, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in their disaster relief efforts. Every dollar helps local animal welfare organizations shelter, transport and care for pets through grants that fund veterinary care, medication, food, and supplies.

She also loves BIG dogs. Sandie has 3 dogs, 2 guinea pigs and 1 rehabilitating possum. When Sandie is not working she loves to do art, Kayak and crochet.
