So. I’m wondering. Should I go by the bottom of the tub basking temps which are
95 or a little
Higher. Or
The basking on top the bedding ? Which is correct 88-92. They never burrow
Down and seem to enjoy the temps they are at now. My thermostat is set to 92 only in the back I don’t see how it gets warmer then that except because it’s in the middle of the rack. So I just like more substrate in that tub. They all have plenty of room to
Choose. Once they are adults I could adjust it. Any thoughts on this ?
Plus it’s good to have 95 on bottom of tub I would think in case they want warmer they can burrow down and not have to worry about burns. 5 years with this rack and never had any issues.
The possibilities od@my@pairing this year. Leo pastel YB x pastel banana clown! All het@clown of@course. Cannot wait !

Girl eating great and growing fast! Here I coke axanthic clowns! Stay tuned.
Resorted to live food after month of fasting.
Ok so this is why you shouldn’t feed live rats!!!! 2/3 of my balls haven’t eaten f/t in a month so I grabbed 2 live rats to help out. My female ate hers immediately as seen. I was there the whole time holding back the head with tongs so it couldn’t turn on the snake but look how easy something horrible can happen!
Anyway my male did no eat his however. It’s been 5 weeks for him. He’s 300g and now 280g. So he’s maintaining weight. I’m getting worried. Won’t eat frozen or live. He’s not old enough to go off food for breeding is he ? He’s 7-9 months.
I have a hatchling female also and she eats every week for me , they are all in the same rack with the same temps so I don’t know what it could be …. Any suggestions ??? Also not sure why my female all of a sudden accepted food, I know the live food entices them to eat but wondering why the frozen thawed wasn’t working. She’s been on frozen fro 5 months. No reason she wouldn’t take it all of a sudden. I’m starting to worry. I have been breeding and keeping for 20 years and I know this can be common but in a snake so young I don’t know. Could use some words of advice or encouragement. Thanks all!
