Below I have a few (ok 5) terrier mixes that have been here since February. They are available for Adoption (out of county residents only) or our wonderful Approved Rescue Partners . Our dogs wanted to know if you heard the news that SPRING IS Coming and they wanted to ask if
You all had any room to spring them from the shelter and into a home with a comfy couch to relax.
I have a few spotlighted below and also a Link to all the dogs in the building .
SIDE NOTE : we really need help with dogs 40 pounds and up !

Bella A410087-8 years old- Spayed/Female
NOTES: Although Bella is eight years old, she's still got plenty of pep in her step! She is low-energy so won't require rigorous runs or walks,
but would enjoy a walk around the neighborhood, a trip to the lake, or to just to go for a ride to the coffee shop for a pupucino. Bella pulls
initially on the leash to get outside, but that is to be expected. Once outside, she walks at a nice pace and immediately takes care of her business
as she is housebroken. Bella has a solid sit and regardless of age, you can always teach her more! Bella's favorite thing is attention and full body scratches.
She met an 8-year old male dog outside and did very well. She had polite sniffs and nice wags. Bella wanted to play, but the male dog wasn't interested.
Bella happily and politely moved along to continue her walk

Benny A532118-8 years old- Male
NOTES: If you are looking for a distinguished gentleman look no further, Benny A532118 is looking for a family he can call his own!
Sadly Benny came in as a stray in early February, he was scared at first, and is clearly seasoned. He has the typical old man dry eyes, in his case he
does have a bad case so he will need to see the vet, and he is also sore on his hind end :( Despite all of this Benny immediately eliminates when taken outside,
and is always up for a walk! He does not pull on the leash and is happy snoozing by your feet. Benny yurns for love and will sit on your lap if you sit on the floor with him.
He loves pets and wagged his tail while meeting a lab so we think he would be ok with other dogs.

Patron A531734-8 years old- Male
NOTES: Patron greeted me calmly, no jumping or pulling on leash. He walks at the same tempo, regardless of what is in front of him, and doesn't seem to be reactive toward
dogs or people. Patron met two other dogs (Bonquita and Bella) and was polite and sniffed both thoroughly before taking a parallel walk with each. Patron enjoyed sniffing around
the edges of the field and wasn't interested in playing with toys. He takes treats gently and knows "sit" and "wait" and will come when I make a clicking sound with my mouth.
Patron relieved himself shortly after going outside and I believe he is housetrained.
Behavioral Notes: Patron met Bonquita (A530905) and wagged his tail as he sniffed her and allowed her to sniff him before walking on without any initiation of play.
Patron met Bella (A410087), and wagged his tail, sniffed her thoroughly, did not return her play bow, but walked nicely beside her for a parallel walk.

Hi Everyone !!! We need your help ! We just had a litter of 6
terrier/mix puppies 10-weeks old ( 4 females ,2 male s) come in and we are really tight on space and have had parvo in our small dog room (so cannot place any dogs in there right now). They were vaccinated and tested(negative) upon coming in the door !

Then as we are receiving the 6 pups an Owner surrenders there 4-5 month old GSD puppy due to no fault of his own ..

If you have any room and can get the 6 or the 1 out TODAY that would be great !!! Please contact sarah and LeAnn ASAP !!!

Hi All ,
We just wanted to send you an email and tell you HAPPY THANKSGIVING and we are thankful for each and every one of you for helping the animals here at the Prince George's County Animal Services Division. We hope you have a wonderful week .

Side note we are closed on Thursday and Friday so any emails after 5:30pm Wednesday will not be answered unless an emergency till we return on Saturday 🙂
