🐾 Update from PAWS Animal Shelter🐾

We’ve just welcomed 9 more adorable cats and kittens, adding to the 14 cats and kittens we rescued last week from the hoarding situation we are working hard to assess - so far, this makes for 23 sweet bundles of fur! ❤️

These sweet babies are getting age-appropriate care: vaccines, dewormer, and when they’re old enough, spaying/neutering and flea medication. Our mission is to help in situations like this, but we can’t do it without YOU! 🙏

We are incredibly grateful for the generous donations we’ve received in response to last week’s post. Your support means the world to us and to these cats. If you can, please consider continuing to support us so we can keep providing the care these cats need. Thank you for being an amazing part of our community! ❤️🐾

💔 Help Us Care for 14 Cats Rescued from a Hoarder Situation 💔

Today, we rescued 14 cats from a hoarder situation — 12 kittens and 2 adult cats. While they’re now safe, they need a lot of care to get them healthy and ready for their forever homes.

Each kitten’s care costs PAWS at least $160 before they can be moved from our clinic and into one of our community rooms. The care associated with this cost includes vetting, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and all other necessary care. PAWS covers these costs to ensure they get the best possible care before they’re adopted, but we need your help!

The kittens have already received dewormer, nice ear cleanings, and nail trimmings, but we still need your help to cover the rest of their medical expenses.

Your donation will go directly toward their vetting and care giving these cats a fighting chance at a better life.

Please consider donating today to help us continue to provide for these 14 cats as they prepare for their forever homes.

‼️ATTENTION CHAMPAIGN COUNTY RESIDENTS‼️

Thanks to two extremely generous donors, Shannan Harrigan & Caity Mullen, PAWS Animal Shelter is excited to announce that we will be hosting ✨ANOTHER✨ Spay & Neuter clinic in partnership with Urbana Veterinary Clinic (UVC).

Once again, we would like to give a HUGE shout out to UVC for helping to make this clinic possible. We appreciate all that you do for the community!❤️🐾 🩺

🐱 HOW IT WORKS: 🐱
Spay/neuter vouchers will be sold on Saturday, April 5th, at 10:00AM. DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN 9:15AM - this allows staff to get into the shelter).

Vouchers will be sold at PAWS Animal Shelter. Limited space is available - vouchers will be sold on a first come, first served basis. We will be selling 30 spay vouchers (female cats) & 20 neuter certificates (male cats).

UVC will be conducting the surgeries on May 12th AND June 9th.
- Dates are non-negotiable.
- Voucher participants MUST utilize the date printed on their voucher to receive the spay/neuter for $40.
- Vouchers will only be honored by UVC. Surgery MUST be performed at UVC to receive voucher benefit.

- Vouchers will be sold at PAWS on Saturday, April 5th, starting at 10:00AM.

🤠 This clinic is intended for your PET CAT 🤠
•We appreciate your effort to help address the stray cat population in our area. However, we will instead direct you to one of the local TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) resources.
• Unfortunately, we have had multiple missed appointments during past clinics due to customers’ inability to locate/catch cats on the day of surgery. This method will allow us to tackle the stray cat population more efficiently.
