Lil Dog Ranch was started as a small resort at our home for the little dog's in your life. Amenities include private room, raised bed with a soft comfortable mattress, 2 meals a day, 3 snacks a day, outside playtime in our large securely fenced yard, music is played all day, heat and air conditioned. We want your dog to have fun and be comfortable on their visit with us. Let us be your dogs "Home Away From Home"

Labor day weekend is upon us! We do still have a few rooms available for your dog to have a little vacation while you enjoy the last hurrah of the summer. So if you're getting away for the weekend or having a cookout and need somewhere for the four-legged hot dog thief to go, we'd be happy to have your dog spend the holiday with us!

We had the privilege of hanging with this older gentleman for a few hours yesterday before he was picked up by his new foster family. Elmer P Fudd came from a very overcrowded shelter in North Carolina. Five different transporters shared in his journey to safety. He landed with us and got a much needed bath while waiting for his foster to pick him up. This amazing foster, backed by Adopt A Pit, has already been spoiling the heck out of him and will make sure the second part of his life will be the best.

Fostering and volunteering saves lives. We know that not everyone can do it all, but even just a little will help tremendously. There were 7 legs to Elmer's journey yesterday and if you don't believe that each one played a valuable role, let me tell you that without the village that got him to safety he would have been euthanized TODAY. This gentle, mostly blind, harmless old soul would have lost his life. Because shelters are exploding at the seams. We beg you, ADOPT DON'T SHOP.

And if you have extra time to volunteer, room to foster, or funds to donate, please consider helping a rescue or shelter so more dogs like Elmer can be saved ❤️

We want to remind everyone that we offer DAYCARE during the week!
This beautiful girl is Lady, she's one of our daycare regulars. She has benefitted greatly from coming here and socializing with other dogs, and her mom tells us she's seen such a difference in her interactions with friends at the dog park or walking down the street. Remember, your dog ADORES you but sometimes it's good for them to have "doggie time" too 😉.
So keep us in mind if you don't like leaving your dog alone while you work, have errands to run all day, or just want to give them a fun day at daycare!

We have 5 beautiful kittens ready for adoption through TIPS - TNR in Clark County OH. They are about 4 months old, spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. A few reminders to keep your furbabies safe with the excessive heat this week!

It's perfectly fine (and recommended) to reduce outdoor time during the heat of the day. While they are outside, make sure they have some shade, and ALWAYS have access to cool water. If it's too hot for you, remember that they have a fur coat on!

Signs of overheating: excessive panting and drooling, nausea, dizziness, lethargy.

Do your research or ask your vet what to do in case you ever encounter an overheating dog. Some methods may seem like the right thing to do, but can actually cause more harm than good.
