Everybody please welcome our newest part time team member Aubri .

If you think she looks familiar that’s because she’s Bri’s daughter !! She is in the grooming trade program with our instructor Katie . She will be a certified groomer by this summer !

She will be working on Fridays only right now as Bri is currently teaching her own class and will be kick starting another class in June .

Fridays we will offer a 25% discount for new customers when booked with Aubri .

This is a really exciting time for us as it has just been Anna and Bri for a while and adding a new team member is always new and exciting !

HELLO SPRING 🍀🌷

I know it’s a little early but it feels like spring has spring to us .

This is what happens when you get your spring facial and scents on the same day you kidnap your chiropractors pups after an adjustment . Green for St. Pattie’s day and new pups to try your new spa scents on !

Hi guys ,

As most of you know I strive to keep your fur babies safe in my salon . I am the grooming instructor at dmacc and I find it VERY important to know pet CPR and pet safety when you own a pet business . I am offering this to pet professionals and also pet parents . If you’re interested here is all the info !

Hosting will be me ( Bri ) and instructing will be Stephenie Calhoun who is a certified pet tech instructor . Certification is good for two years . Upon finishing the course you will recieve a certification . Class is approximately 5-6 hours long . Bring snacks but snacks and drink will also be provided .

15 people may attend . It is first paid first in class . You will pay me ( Bri ) and I will add you to the class . Once this class is full we will add another day . Sunday the 30th .

Class will be at my salon in urbandale Iowa at Clipper-Doodle-Do the Des Moines Dog Groomers. 7020 Douglas Ave suite k . Urbandale Iowa . 50322.

Price is 150.00 per person .

I personally believe every facility should have cpr certified employees and every salon owner even if not grooming themselves should be certified and encourage employees to be certified . Knowing cpr and pet safety has allowed me to add some cool things to my salon like learning a quick pull loop or emergency loop ties and I have saved two dogs with previous heart conditions when they stopped breathing . I’m very excited to be hosting these classes and hopefully get some more cpr certified people out into the area . Comment below if you’re interested and I will send you the link to my Venmo .

Imagine you take this class and are able to help or save somebodies baby from choking or an injury. Just food for thought !

Special info about our free de shed dates:

We can no longer do the Saturday March 29th . We are hosting a cpr certification course at the salon and spaced it ! Our salon will be in use that day

However Bri and Anna are splitting up their dates

Bri’s free de shed date will be THIS WEEKEND 3/8 ! She will be out of town for spring break and then is hosting the code certification course for pet professionals the 29th

Things we love 💕

Please help lucky if you can . Marissa volunteers for the same rescue we do and we love all of our volunteer peeps they’re vital to saving dogs !

This is Lucky. Lucky had a freak accent, she went into her kennel to eat and her little paw slipped under the wire in front and got caught. Lucky did NOT remain calm, in fact- she freaked out so badly that he severely broke her femur within seconds as her owner rushed to free her. She now needs a very expensive surgery, and we are going to help make that happen so that she can stay with her family and kids who love her.

This scenario is not something we usually have the funds for, with all the dogs we take into rescue and their needs - but Lucky is owned by one of our volunteer groomers. She selflessly has and continues to offer her services to our rescue pups at no charge to us. When we saw her post, we knew we had to help.

Here is where we need YOUR help. Oh My Dog Rescue will cover the costs of her leg reconstruction (estimated $3,000-$4000). We need to raise funds to cover this surgery to save Lucky's leg and also so that we can keep doing what we are doing. INCOMING 🆓 DE-SHED week dates !!

We typically set up our quarterly 🆓 de shed events around spring break and offer it for the week however between Bri’s school schedule and Anna’s time off and being extremely booked already we have LIMITED time to do it this March . below is the weekend we will be hosting the event !!

Friday March 28th to Sunday March 30th

Appts available Friday = 4
Appts available Saturday =4
Appts available sunday = open ( meaning nobody is scheduled for that day yet )

The first to comment is the first to get those appointments on those days we will update what days we fill up below .

Notice if you are a new client we will be taking deposits .

Our 🆓 De-Shed events are where you pay for the barn or haircut and get the upgraded treatment for 🆓. It helps eliminate shedding up to 90%. We are also all inclusive so we include a scented relaxing facial ( smells depend on the season ) with a relaxing spa type bath 🛁 with a nice warm towel from a towel warmer , blow dry , nails trimmed or files , ears cleaned , fluffed out . A wonderful scent of the season usually matches the facial and a handmade accessory we order per season ! ( haircut on top of that if it’s a haircut dog )

❄️Its that time again we’re wrapping up our December FREE de shed weekend ❄️

If you’ve been considering it now’s the time to get in the schedule . We have approximately 2 appointments left on Friday the 20th and 1 appointment Saturday the 21st .

We ask you drop the breed and weight if your dog and if you’ve been with us before and we’ll be in touch .

If you haven’t been with us before here’s a little rundown of what it is .

Our free de shed events are where you pay for the bath or the haircut and the de shed upgrade is 🆓. Our De shedding treatment is a 12 step treatment to help eliminate shedding up to 90% . It’s a wonderful treatment to not only help with less shedding but it also leaves the skin and coat smelling amazing , shiny and the dogs feel really good getting that access hair off their body to breathe better over this cold and dry season ! Manually removing undercoat helps keep them warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer months and it’s just a nice feel good spa day for your fur babies !

Wow wow wow

Thank you to all of our furry friends and human friends for participating in our pre-turkey day free de shedding event this last weekend . Here’s some snaps of a few we captured after their spa treatments ! We so enjoy doing these before major holidays to get our fuzzy friends ready for people or just to make them look and smell their best for whatever reason !

We still have openings for our December event Friday December 20th and Saturday December 21st .
