Bella is such a friendly girl and has done very well meeting new people. She loves human attention and being the focus in the room, but she keeps getting overlooked. While she loves to play and run, she also secretly forgets her size in hopes of getting away with being a lap dog! Bella has tested well with other dogs and cats here at the shelter. She lived with children in her previous home and did well with them, so we believe she can be placed in a home with children as well. Working at a shelter, rescuing, volunteering, adopting, and donating is about doing something so much bigger than ourselves. Feeling the pain and emotions that come from seeing animals in need is a necessary sacrifice to make sure that they are safe and happy. To make sure that they are loved, taken care of, fed, warm and at the very least…we can just simply make their day by showing up and showing interest. We get to go home at the end of each day, they don’t. So if you have the means, if you’re ready to open up your home, or just have so much love to shower these precious animals with, let’s help them by making ourselves a little uncomfortable. Today marks 767 days at shelter for Pepé 🥹 Pepé is often overlooked because of his dark coat and other judgements people put on him, but we are sharing with you the true side of Pepé. Pepé is one giant cuddle bug, he loves toys, and sun bathing. He’s not huge on treats but he certainly won’t refuse them. He even sits patiently for meals, especially those tasty holiday ones 😋 Pepé’s stay has crept over the 2 year mark, making him one our current long term residents. This is our sweet boy, Linus! He has a fallen in love with everyone he has met but unfortunately no one has picked him yet 🥹 Linus is only 40 pounds, walks very well on a leash and is overall, just a lover. A little update on Donnie 😊 His skin is healing, his fur is growing back, and his spirits are high! Donnie has been receiving frequent baths and treatment and he’s looking better than ever. Walter is an all around chill guy we can’t figure out why he hasn’t had a single visitor! 🥹 He has a good amount of energy for his age and gets excited for all the right reasons.
