Rachel has been riding horses since she could walk. Malt and Rachel also began a career in eventing together when Rachel was twelve years old.

She grew up at Knightwynds Welsh Cobs where she got to enjoy riding everyday as well as playing with the foals and learning how to handle everything from newborn foals to the breeding stallion. Rachel has achieved her C-2 and H-B pony club ratings with the help of her two welsh cobs, Crossroads Rose and Knightwynds Single Malt. The pair quickly fell in love with eventing and over the years have ma
de it to the training level with very limited training and funds. She is currently training with Lainey Asker, Francesca Nicoletti, and Noel Williams. Who have all helped Rachel tremendously these past few years. Rachel hopes to do her first one star in 2013. She also enjoys working with younger pony club members and anyone who wants to begin riding or move up the lower levels. She hopes to begin obtaining her ICP in the USEA. Rachel also enjoys breaking young or inexperienced horses to ride. As well as riding Rachel has grown to enjoy combined driving, and works as a navigator and groom. Her family has taught her a lot about driving horses and she has spent some time breaking a few driving horses and puts mileage on green driving horses.

âMaverickâ is a fantastic young horse with a great temperament. As a weanling he scored in the 80s at dressage at Devon. He recently was reserve champion c**t and reserve champion young horse as a yearling at the DSHB Breed Show at Avalon.
He handles the show environments super well and remains relaxed every where he goes. He has 3 lovely gaits with lots of swing and ground cover. Pm for additional Information and video.

Top Gun RCL (Floris BS/ Bretton Woods/ Sandro Song) was such a rockstar! And handled the show environment so well!

Royal Oak RCL (Gaudi SSF x Dramboui) was not his normal relaxed self this weekend but is growing up to be such a lovely boy!

I couldnât have done this show with out all the help and support of my husband Wendell Wengerd and all my horses show friends it truly takes a village!
Now off to the KWPN - NA Keuring for Top Gun RCL tomorrow at Iron Springs Farm.

Promising young talent with upper-level potential! This 2019 KWPN-NA 3 year old champion young jumper is a big moving, elastic KWPN bay gelding bred by Majestic Gaits. His sire Impressive VDL (Darco - Contender) comes from top Grand Prix jumper lines and his name speaks for himself and his offspring. Oxygen would be best suited for someone looking to be competitive the Jumper ring at the top levels. Oxygen qualified for the 2024 USHJA 5 yo young jumper championships at his first show of 2024. He is a very eye-catching boy, with three wonderful gaits and a willing character. He could also easily be a top level Eventer. He has competed successfully through the 1.10 and will be heading to USHJA Young Jumper Championships in September.

âCaptainâ is a sweet easy going gelding who is very willing to learn and easy to ride. He has been restarted and ridden both English and western. Currently going WTC and has gone over ground poles and a few small cross rails. He stands quietly for the vet and farrier, stands in the cross ties, does go with front shoes on.
This sweet boy could go in any direction from western or classical dressage to hunter/jumpers, eventing, or even being a super cute little ranch horse. He is just game to try anything his rider asks of him.

Another great learning experience for Kathy Hickersonâs Oxygen MG at WEC this past week. Jumping everything from the 1.0 m to 1.15 m this time around as we prepare for the USHJA Young Jumper Championships in a few weeks. This boy oozes with talent and while we had a few baby moments throughout the week he ended up finishing strong and regaining some lost confidence. We have our homework to do before championships but I am so proud of him!

Dam: Knightwynds Model T (Knightwynds Topaz x Knightwynds Super Model)
Chiron is a stellar c**t with a great temperament. This boy is what a welsh cob should look like! He would be a great addition to a breeding program and remain a stallion and would be a fantastic performance horse to show off in the dressage arena. He is expected to mature 14.1-14.2 hands.
He will be weaned shortly and be ready to go. He could be brought to the DSHB breed show at Avalon in NY August 24-25 and be picked up from there, I will also be going to the ISF KWPN Keuring on August 26 so he could be delivered I. That area as well.

Day two at Brave Horse IV completed for this super star!
Oxygen MG has been amazing for each round even in the high heat and humidity! This is only his second recognized jumper show and he is officially qualified to compete in the USHJA 5 yo young jumpers in September! So grateful to have the ride on this boy who is owned and bred but Kathy Hickerson!

What a great weekend at the USDF breed show at Jericho! Oakley has grown up into such a wonderful boy! He is just so sweet and easy going, and makes me a very proud breeder!
He won the 3 yo c**t division with a 79.5. Was reserve champion in the c**t championship and 3rd in the young horse championship.
He had a phenomenal 8.2 for his walk and just the best experience he could have had!
I couldnât have done it without my daughter though, while I was handling horses and being sick all day she kept him groomed and cared for all day so all I had to do was bridle and show him!

2023 KWPN c**t by Floris BS (Negro x Elegant) out of the GOV mare Baretta Woods 121 (Bretton Woods x Sandro Song).
Maverick has a sweet personality/disposition, elastic gaits and will be an exciting prospect to develop! He already loves to please his person and do what is asked of him! As a weanling he went to his first show at Dressage at Devon scoring an 80% and was so well behaved just doing his job. He was even used in the young handler group assessment for each handler to try showing a foal to the judge.
Floris BS is a son of Negro, who has repeatedly produced successful FEI offspring and licensed sons including Valegro and Kjento. Floris is confirmed PSG.
Bretton Woods won the Bronze medal at the 2011 World Championship for Five Year-Old Dressage Horses. One year before, he won superior the VSN-Trophy in the Netherlands, where he achieved a 10.0 for his rideability!
This lovely c**t has a fantastic pedigree and should mature to 17 hands. Special consideration given to a professional who develops young horses and/or someone looking to develop him as a stallion prospect.

First black dot of the season!
Section D Welsh Cob mare Knightwynds Santaria is in foal to the lovely Section A Welsh Mountain Pony Fferm Gwenffrwd Swagger.
Sadly this lovely little mare had a career ending injury before she was able to have a career but we are crossing our fingers for a healthy pregnancy for this sweet girl and hopefully this cross will produce a lovely driving pony for the future!
