🩶Diva🩶

She deserves her own post!

Some of you may remember her from last year when she came to me for training in the spring, formerly known as Gypsy. I want to share her story!

Prior to her 2023 owners, Diva had a rough past, seemed to be very abused and supposedly was even bred live cover at a young age. She was hard to catch, did not like to be touched and was always on defense mode. She would do anything she could to stay away from you and other horses.

In March of 2023 Diva came to me at 6 years old with about 30/60 days put on her in 2022. Her owners at the time did not have the time for her, wanted me to put some time on her and sell her.

After about 6/7 weeks I posted her for sale and she sold within just a few days to a lovely couple in the Eureka area. I grew so attached to her I cried the day she left. Being her new owners were so kind we kept in touch through the time they owned her.

In April 2024 her owners decided they were going to sell her as they were not doing much with her. She had spent the last 11 months in pasture. Though we weren’t in a position really to get another horse we made it work and were able to bring Diva home for good. Sometimes things are just meant to be.

This past weekend we competed in our first show together and she exceeded my expectations and handled everything with confidence!

I am happy to say I can do just about anything with this girl and even if she gets a little nervous or scared I can talk to her and pet her and she calms right down. Our journey has only begun and I cannot wait to see what our future holds.

Where do I begin! I am so proud of the young lady you are turning into.

Every morning in her dress and cowboy boots while jamming to Taylor Swift & Lainey Wilson we feed horses, cleans stalls, do waters and put on fly stuff. There are even times she will coach me on my riding while she rides her Hanky Boy and says “Ok good, good job mom but you need to go a little faster and kind of turn like this but your doing good” she is one of a kind!

Savy girl you continue to amaze me with your kind spirit, genuine heart, strong will and fierce personality. There is no one like you and I am so lucky and blessed to be your Mama. Never change and always stay wild at heart, you make the world a better place. I love you so much my peanut.

Hanky Boy thank you for taking such good care of your girl, even when she’s kicking to try to make you go faster you stay easy for her and for that I am so grateful. You are a true unicorn and are beyond special to us in so many ways. We love you.

We are in the middle of our 2024 show season and our Gymkhana CSHA State Championship are approaching fast. Our Leadliners and Graduates need your help for awards!

Every October our CSHA State Championship Show happen and it is a blast. On Saturday we have the most special day where the kiddos compete. They are our future riders and need your support in helping make their State Championship Show special.

Last year we had 17 kiddos, raised over $3,000 and were able to award these kiddos with some fantastic, personalized and memorable awards. We are asking for your help again this year!

I have a very sweet family looking for their unicorn. This horse will be for a horse crazy 13 year old girl who needs a confidence booster and a best friend. He/she will be beyond spoiled, loved and extremely well cared for. He/she will be stalled at night and have free range during the day and will be living on their ranch with 24/7 care.

Squid is one of a kind! He will go on the trails alone or in a group, sure footed and is not spooky. Great in the arena walks, jogs, trots, lopes and will keep the same pace unless asked otherwise.

He has carried flags in parades, been to some gymkhanas, cattle sortings and used as a lesson horse for kids. He has been ridden english and did some jumping. He has ponied colts and isn’t phased. He’s has been around and likes goats, cats and dogs. He absolutely loves kids!

Squid is a little weary of new people and can take time to gain trust but once he does he is a teddy bear.

A VERY special forever home is an absolute must! His owner is selling him due to unforeseen circumstances and is devastated.

Due to unforeseen circumstances his owner is unable to ride at the moment and brought him back to me.

Whiskey finished up his training with me today!

Cassidy’s (his owner) goal was:
•To gain confidence in herself
•Build whiskeys confidence as he was very unsure about new things.
•Be able to take him on a relaxing trail ride

She was very diligent about coming for lessons and was able to gain the confidence she was hoping for.

Sometimes things just fall into place and happen when you least expect it to.

I cried the day she sold her because she really took a special place in my heart. I kept in touch with her new owners, who are fantastic people and had bought her on May 28, 2023. They were unable to keep her and being the amazing people they are she has made it back to us as of April 3, 2024 to stay!

We are taking things slow but making progress. Diva had a bit of a rough past when she was younger but wants to please and is very smart. She taught me so much last year and I can’t wait to see what we learn together knowing we have all the time we need.

For years my brother and I have raced dirt bikes together from track to hillclimbs to cross country and his famous line has always been “slow is smooth and smooth is fast”.

I have always applied that to how I run my horses.

It has been such a pleasure working with Hot Shot these last two months. He has come so far and only excelling.

These are my last runs I put on him before he went back home.

I have to give a big kudos to his mama Cody for diligently coming weekly sometimes two times a week for lessons.

You two are doing amazing together and will only continue to soar.

Thank you Cody for trusting me with your sweet boy, I already miss him but cannot wait to see the things you two achieve in the future!
