✨🎉 What a year 2024 has been at CNDC! We’ve had an incredible season filled with highlights, unforgettable moments, and so much excitement. 🐴✨

Our horses brought their A-game to the show ring, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they accomplished. From standout performances to milestone achievements, it’s been a year to remember.

A huge thank you to our amazing owners, riders, juniors, and volunteers – you are the heart of CNDC, and we are beyond grateful for your dedication and passion. 💙

🏅✨The 2024 Annual Awards are out and CNDC brought home top honors in multiple divisions! ✨🏅

CNDC’s homebred 5yo Hanoverian mare Quantum Gold N (2019 by Quaterback/ Liberty Gold) finished her first show season with an impressive 5th place in the USDF Horse of the Year Award category. Against a field of 407 eligible horses, this result places her just short of the top 1% of all Training Level horses in the nation!

Five years ago, this mare won her Hanoverian foal inspection and received a Gold Award from the American Hanoverian Society. Now, with 3(!) scores above 80% and a Reserve Champion title at the CDS Annual Show in September, Goldie has made an impressive first mark on the West Coast Dressage circuit as one of the up and coming youngsters to watch over the next couple of years.

🏅✨The 2024 Annual Awards are out and CNDC brought home top honors in multiple divisions! ✨🏅

Velantis N won the USDF All-Breeds Open Campion title at Second Level!

This show season turned out to be the most successful year thus far for our homebred stallion Velantis N (2018 by Vitalis/ Floriscount) and marked Velantis' State Championship Title hattrick. For the third year in a row, he won all his championship classes, making him the CDS and USDF Region 7 Champion at Second Level. At the same Championship Show, Velantis also won the 6 year-old Futurity for upcoming Dressage Talents in California. His most impressive achievement however occurred earlier in the season, where he received an unheard-of 91.8% at the FEI Young Horse 6yo Test, during a qualifier for the annual Festival of Champions in Chicago.

And so it comes as no surprise that Velantis N received the USDF All-Breeds Open Champion title at Second Level (out of 245 eligible horses) as well as the award for Dressage Horse of the Year - American Hanoverian Society Champion Second Level.

🏅✨The 2024 Annual Awards are out and CNDC brought home top honors in multiple divisions! ✨🏅

Qunique N (CNDC-bred, 2016 gelding by Quaterback/ Walldorf) has acquired quite the collection of awards this past year.

Throughout 2024, Carla competed with Qunique at the 4th Level Open division. For the All-Breeds Open Award (American Hanoverian Society), Qunique placed 3rd overall and won the Musical Freestyle award with multiple scores in the mid 70s!

The USDF Horse of the Year Award, which encompasses all breeds across the US at each level, has the pair listed at 13th place for Fourth Level, and 8th at the Fourth Level Freestyle! For the 2024 Freestyle Challenge, Qunique came in at an impressive third place!

These are great results for a US-bred horse, and even more impressive considering that Carla started this gelding herself 5 years ago and has been training him up the levels ever since. They have won numerous State Champion titles together first in the Jr/YR classes and now competing in the Open division. This November, the pair made their FEI debut at PSG with 2 scores over 70%! The next year sure looks to be exciting for this pair!

The 2024 Annual Awards are out and CNDC brought home top honors in multiple divisions!

🎉 We’re thrilled that CNDC has been named 2024 Dressage Breeder of the Year – Reserve Champion by USDF! 🏆✨

This is the second time we’ve received this prestigious honor, recognizing breeders whose horses ranked in the Dressage Horse of the Year and the FEI and/or USEF young horse year-end awards. For the 2024 show season over 50 eligible breeders were in the running.

A very special highlight this season were the offspring of our CNDC broodmare Dynamica (by Donnerschlag). Ravenna N (2012, out of Dynamica by Rubino Bellissiomo) debuted at GP and GP FS with scores in the 70s. Don Amour N (2014, out of Dynamica by Don Frederic) made his FEI debut with over 71% at I1 and won his Adult/Amateur Championships with his owner and rider Susan Walker. And Fürst Felix N (2017, out of Dynamica by Fürstenball) earned the Reserve Champion at the First Level Junior Championships with his 13 year old rider Liliam Ramirez.

Breeding is truly a labor of love, and there’s no greater reward than watching our foals grow into healthy, talented athletes. Thank you to our dedicated team, the owners, and riders for believing in our horses. We can’t wait to see what 2025 brings! 🐴💫

It was a very educational weekend in Rancho Santa Fe at the USDF Region 7 FEI Junior/ Young rider clinic.

Christiane, Lily, Seraphina and their parents had a great time! Thank you Ann and Steward Boehning for hosting this wonderful clinic and thank you LiLo Fore for sharing your wisdom and super instruction with all of us!

Yesterday marked the last show day in 2024 here at CNDC at the Fall Dressage Derby and our horses and riders wrapped up the year with some fantastic results!

Qunique N and Carla confirmed their Prix St Georges score from Saturday with another 70.4%! This weekend, Carla and Qunique had their debut at the FEI level - what an achievement for Carla, who started CNDC's homebread Qunique herself 5 years ago!

Our stallion Velantis N made his show debut at Third Level and he certainly made a statement at this new level, even receiving a 10(!) for a flying change on Saturday. Wrapping up the weekend with a 78.24% at Third-1 and 77.23% at Third-2, what more can you ask for from a 6 year old youngster?!

More CNDC homebred young horses had great results as well. Our mare Quantum Gold N (5 year old by Quaterback/ Liberty Gold) and Christian received a 71.9% for their First Level Test 2 on Sunday. Carla rode our 6 year old Moricello N (gelding by Morricone/ Donnerschlag) to 71.4% at Second Level Test 1.

Last but not least, Jona and Goliath had their strongest performance of the season at First Level Test 1 with a 65.37% and a 10(!) for their initial centerline/halt. Well done Jona!

Day two of the Dressage Derby was a great success for the CNDC clients!

Carla guided Monica McGue’s Patronus RTH to an impressive 75% in First Level Test 1, an improvement from day 1! They also earned the high point open score on the first day—exciting things are ahead for this talented horse!

Nathaniel Madathil and his horse, Windsor, scored 66.8% in First Level Test 1. This pair also earned a high point award on day 1. 🎉

Lilian Ramirez took on Second Level Test 1 again on day 2, raising her score to 64.5%. A fantastic beginning to the 2025 show season!

The Fall Dressage Derby is Complete!

Thanks to everyone who came out and made this show such a success! We couldn’t do it without the wonderful judges, TD, volunteers, office staff and of course competitors!

High scores for this show are as follows:

Nathaniel Madathil and Windsor - 68.33% First Level

Karoline Merck and North Shore - 64.61% Training Level

Carla Schulz Mobley and Patronus RTH - 73.14% First Level

Team CNDC riders had super tests yesterday on Day 1 of the Dressage Derby!

Carla rode Walkyrie in her first test at First Level and came home with 71.8%! Nice ride!

Next up Christian took Quantum Gold down centerline also at First Level for 72.12%. Way to go 🎉

Qunique and Carla made their PSG debut and knocked it out of the park for 70.4%! Carla started Qunique and brought him to FEI so this is particularly exciting!!

Jona and CNDC pony Goliath also got their feet wet at first level and came home with a respectable 63.3%.

Moricello N and Carla went second level and impressed the judge and earned a 72.5%!

Christian and homebred Stallion, Velantis, wrapped up day 1 of the show with the highest score of the day! An exciting 78.24% at Third level! This horse just gets better and better!

The clients from Team CNDC brought their A game to day one of the Dressage Derby today!

Nate kicked off the show with his own Windsor to bring home a 68.3% at first level! Way to go Nate!

Next was Carla riding Monica McGue’s Patronus RTH also at First Level. They had a wonderful ride and scored 73.1% for the win!

Lisa O’Hara took her mare Furstin Freya down centerline in their first show together to an impressive 71.25%! We can’t wait to see what you and Freya can accomplish!

Last but not least was Lilian Ramirez and Fuerst Felix. They made their move up to second level and had some really nice moments to bring home 63.5%. Nice riding Lily!
