The SPCA of Solano County is a small but passionate animal shelter located on Peabody Rd in Vacaville, CA. The animals available for adoption at our shelter are provided with the best care possible. The shelter guests come from a variety of different situations and we try

to make each and every one as comfortable as possible while waiting for their forever home. We are always looking for dedicated and passionate animal lovers to volunteer at the shelter. If you have extra time and would like to help the SPCA with our mission please contact as at: [email protected]

We are currently open for walk-in adoptions you are more than welcome to come walk through our kennels and look at our available animals during regular adoption hours!

Its me Kusama the new spokes dog for the SPCA of Solano County. I have been at the SPCA for 194 days! I am a 1 year old pit bull/ Husky mix (pitsky) who is very active. I would love to find that special family that I know is out there looking for me. One of the staff members is taking me to obedience class and I am learning some manners! We have lots of puppies, kittens and dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. If you are interested in me or any of the other available pets we are open Thursday - Sunday from 12 to 5 pm. Adopt a dog, or cat save a life.....but remember they are a 15 year commitment including routine hygiene like grooming!

Here is underdog papaya playing fetch with the staff ! He is an 11 month old poodle mix (weighs 7 !pounds ) needs to be the only pet in the house!

Kimi, Angelica, Tommy, Chuckle, Lillian, and Susie are eagerly waiting for their FUR-ever homes. These guys love to play but settle down nicely when time to snuggle

Hanks and Ina Garten had a play date yesterday!!! They both love to play and the water.

Adopt a friend event

Here is Slade - the orange and white kitten - in his foster home. You can see he is fine with dogs and would make a great addition to someone looking for a kitten that gets along with other animals. (The other kittens are not currently available. Keep watching our page on Tuesday nights to see who becomes available.)
