Meet Celeste 💃🐾 Celeste is a 25lb, 2yr old purebred mini Australian Shepherd. Celeste is a super sweet girl who is very shy. Once Celeste warms up she is the most devoted, loving girl who would like nothing more than to be by your side. Celeste is the type of girl who loves to cuddle and will just melt into your lap, making sure you have full access for belly rubs. Celeste walks “ok” on a leash and would definitely benefit from some training. The great thing is Celeste is super smart and picks up on training very quickly. Nieve loves attention from his people and will take in all the love and kisses you have to give. Nieve also loves to dress up and is willing to go anywhere you are going. Meet Boss 🕺🐾 Boss is a 10yr old, 8lb Yorkshire Terrier. Boss is the easy keeper, go with the flow kinda guy. Boss likes his people, gets along with other dogs, but really just loves his bed. Boss would be perfect in a home where walks really aren’t your kinda thing, and all you really want is a cuddle, and hang out kinda buddy. Meet Champ 🥳🐾 Champ is a 23lb, 3yr old purebred mini Australian Shepherd. Champ is a boy who loves everyone and thinks everyone loves him. With his most enduring smile he will warm your heart. Champ walks great on a leash, is dog and cat friendly. Always aiming to please and will even do some basic commands without treats, just because he would rather have the love hugs from his person. As year 2024 comes to an end, I’d like to thank everyone who has donated money, supplies, food, treats, etc… Your donations are genuinely appreciated. The positive comments, the updates on the fosters after they are adopted, and all the pictures sent, truly warm my heart and keep me wanting to rescue more unwanted animals from the shelters. Each dog is taken in from the shelters with the intention to be loved like they will live with me forever. It really is bitter sweet when one of my fosters get adopted, whether they are here a day or a year, I love them all.
Keeping Broketail Rescue and Sanctuary running really takes a village. I am honored to meet every single one of you who have adopted and taken in the fosters and given them a forever loving home. I thank you!

Meet Snoopdog 🕺🐾 Snoopdog is a 7yr old 9lb Cavalier and Spaniel mix. Snoopdog is a very sweet boy who loves everyone he meets person or dog. Snoopdog is a very social boy who always wants to be included in all of the goings on around the rescue. Snoopdog is smart, sweet, and a quick learner. Snoopdog thrives on love and a pocket full of treats and will do just about anything to get one or the other. Snoopdog would be a perfect companion for just about any adopter. Snoopdog would be a great buddy to take places, go for walks/hikes, and he is the perfect size to even go on a plane rides. Puppies! How cute are they? These babies are Aussie/Pitbull mixes - 6mo old.
They are SO sweet! They get along with other dogs and everyone they meet!
While they are not with our rescue - We were asked to help a member of our community find them homes. He took them on in hopes to find them good homes. We really want to help him since he has taken on such a big task all for the love of dogs. I met them and they are so sweet and so beautiful. They were a little shy, but warmed up very quickly and acted like they knew me forever.

They are fully vaccinated, spay/neutered, and microchipped.

Meet Bernie 🫶🐾 Bernie is a 5yr old, 3lb Terrier. Bernie is a very friendly boy, but takes a little bit for him to warm up. Bernie is a cautious boy and likes to take things slow. Bernie loves to be held, and loves to cuddle. Bernie is a very tiny boy, so a home without small children. Bernie gets along with all dogs, but prefers to be with his person. The best home for Bernie would be a quiet home with adopters who want a cuddle buddy to love on. Bernie was severely matted and had to be shaved, he normally is a long haired boy who will need grooming appointments in the future, once his fur starts to get long. When Sugar is excited one ear will rise up, and the more she’s excited the more it goes up, so darn cute!!! Sugar is a little shy at first, but warms up very quickly with lots of love. Sugar loves to be loved on and hang out with her person. Sugar would be a great companion to take places and be your travel buddy, or just hang out and cuddle all day long. Sugar is a quiet girl, so if you’re looking for a barker, she’s not it. Sugar is more of an active 12yr old, so if you like to go for walks, she would love that also. Meet Chay 🫅🐾 Chay is a 10lb, 7yr old Yorkshire Terrier. Chay is a sweet boy who is very curious, and interested in seeing what the others are doing. Chay gets along with all dogs and people. Chay loves treats, but only likes the soft ones, since he recently had a dental appointment and all of his teeth had to be removed!! That doesn’t stop Chay from eating and taking treats quicker than the others. Chay loves his people and would like nothing more than to be a lap buddy. Ling Ling was not doing very well medically. We did blood work on her and it turns out she is in kidney failure. So she would be a hospice adoption, or she will stay at Broketail Rescue until the end. 🌸

Anyone looking to adopt a Yorkie??? Or an older chihuahua?? These beauties are at Broketail Rescue and will be looking for homes soon. There is 1 female and 3 male Yorkies and a male Chihuahua. They do not have to be adopted together. The owner went into assisted living and was leaving the dogs behind to fend for themselves. A Good Samaritan contacted a local shelter and they did not have the space for them. The rescue then contacted me and how could I say no…. They are all very sweet, a little freaked out, but very sweet. The Chihuahua is 10yrs old, and the Yorkies are : male 7yr old, female 10yrs old, male 9yrs old, male 7yrs old.
