As fall approaches it's almost obedience class time! In October my grooming hours and days open will be modified to accommodate class schedules.

We will be open Wednesday to Saturday 0930- 5:30pm starting Oct 20th. Classes will start Oct 27th (pending weather, I'll post an update closer to) I will be offering 2-3 types of classes for the fall/winter and possibly into Spring. Sign ups will be in September.

Yes short haired dogs shed, a lot actually. They need a De-Shed treatment just as much as a long haired breed does.

I really enjoy doing the not so normal trims on dogs. Whether an Airedale done a little different from the breed standard, a doodle owner that loves shaved ears a Yorkie that the mom wants to have that "Karen" look, or a big hairy beast, they like being a big hairy beast 😂

A couple Sunday kids and some kids from Wednesday. I hope everyone is enjoying the 4th of July. Remembyer keep your pets indoors and collars with tags on. More dogs get lost on the 4th of July than any other day. I will be around to scan dogs for microchips all day tomorrow. So if you find a dog roaming with no collar or tag, give me a call and I can check it for a microchip in hopes to get it home.

I am back to work full-time! It feels good to be back.
I am limited on how many big dogs I can do a day, so please book your big dogs out to ensure a time frame you need.

We specialize in poodles, but do all breeds and mixed breeds. Prices and appointments are set via size and cost type, so please call to make an appointment.

Lots of De-Sheds this week. It's that time of year. Remember a double coated dog needs their coat to stay cool in the summer. Shaving it does not keep them cooler, but a good De-Shed will help them stay cool. We are booking up, especially for big dogs. Call or message for an appointment.

Today we had an unusual grooming. A hairy hairless Chinese Crested. Yes I said hairy hairless. What does that mean? Well a Chinese Crested comes in 2 varieties. A powderpuff or hairless. Due to this some hairless get a small amount of hair all over their body, but not a full coat like a powderpuff. When they show, they need to be NAKED on their body. The rest of the hair is left alone other than a tidy to the feet. Think Clydesdale lol, but in dog form.

We got the pleasure of de-shedding this beautiful girl. She is a mix breed, and huge!! But she was a very sweet girl and I'm sure feels much cooler.

Pictures from our intermediate class today, and a picture of a very tired puppy from our beginner class.
This is week 2 and everyone is flying through class. As a trainer this makes me so happy to see everyone working hard. Why are obedience classes so important? It keeps dogs from the shelter. Most dogs turned in, to shelters, are turned in for behavioral issues. This helps prevent that.
