Since August of 2023, P4P has pulled 58 RESCUE ONLY dogs that were placed into forever homes. In addition, we have pulled other dogs (seniors and medical dogs) from PACC that we have placed in forever homes.
Every one of those dogs has had the support of P4P-be that, in home training and vet care. It is becoming more difficult for this one woman rescue to continue to save lives. Between 11/1 and 11/6 there have been 11 dogs placed on deadline. Because P4P tends to place a priority on Rescue Only dogs, we hope that Urgent, Emergency, and Census deadlines dogs would find placement thru the shelter.
Today, 2 dogs that should have been able to find placement thru the shelter are being euthanized. P4P asked for more time to find them outlets thru our rescue, but we were told that the census is still too high.
Our hearts are broken 💔 that Oswald and Gumby died today! This did not need to happen! We would have put all our efforts into finding them the correct homes if given the opportunity.
Today, I (along with a trainer) will meet Esau (who was deadlined at PACC) at HSSA, where I have agreed to help network him and others that may need rescue support.
We have moved mountains to save many dogs and we will continue to advocate for every dog at risk at the shelter. We ask that you pray for every dog who is seeking a safe and loving home!
We are grateful for every committed foster and adopter who has joined the P4P Family. And to those who network, and donate, tirelessly so that we can do this 🙏 Never forget that you make a difference!
