❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️COURTESY POST❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️

Mica is in need of a new forever home thru no fault of his own! Mica was adopted thru our rescue in Feb 2024 to a wonderful couple. Initially, Mica got along with the 2 small dogs and a larger Great Pyrenees mix. However as time has gone on, Mica and the larger dog are not getting along and are now living separately, putting a strain on the household. Mica is a loving, fun, active dog, who needs a strong leader. He knows the following commands…sit, down, place, heel, and leave it. He is treat motivated. In addition, he has had extensive professional training and has been in a board and train program. He will have continued in-home sponsored training to an approved adopter to ensure a successful transition.

We think his best home would be with an active, patient, person or couple, willing to continue working on his training. 520-265-1050 🐾

*Mica is @ 2 yrs old, 65 lbs, neutered, UTD on vaccines and microchipped. All training notes and information can be shared with adopter.

We would bring Max into rescue for an experienced cat foster/adopter. 520-265-1050

Our admissions department saw a huge day yesterday with 86 new pets coming into the shelter - 52 dogs and 34 cats - and 71%, or 61 of them, were strays‼

We need our community's help reuniting and keeping pets with their families. Here are 4 steps YOU can take to help make that happen:

1️⃣ KEEP A COLLAR AND TAG ON YOUR DOG! This simple step is the #1 most effective way of getting pets home - and if you need a tag, we offer them for free at PACC any time we're open.
2️⃣ If you find or lose a pet, please register on lost.petcolove.org to use their image recognition technology to see if your pet matches any of the found pets in the shelter or in the community.
3️⃣ Bringing pets to the shelter rather than keeping them in their community makes them LESS likely to be reunited. If you find a healthy, friendly stray, have them scanned for a microchip, post on social media, make flyers, and walk them around the neighborhood - all of these steps are more likely to get them home than bringing them to the shelter.
4️⃣ Share this post!

Reclaim fees are waived in most cases; we want your pet to be at home.

PACC is open from 1:30 to 7 p.m. today for owner reclaims, adoptions, foster, and more.

*All animals pictured are on a stray wait. They MAY be available for reservation in the event their owner does not reclaim them. If interested in reserving, please come to PACC.*

Blue Boy update: Pretty sure this is a foster fail in the making ❤️ I think Blue and his new dad are a great match and both of them needed the other. I can see the look of love in Blues eyes 👀 Thank you for fostering and giving Blue the lifeline he needed. Training is already scheduled to work on a couple behaviors but the commitment is there! That’s what we want for dogs like Blue. These 2 are an inspiration 🙏

My heart is full tonight ❤️ Welcome to the Passion 4 Paws family Blue and Rick

🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘

Sienna is a sweet, young dog that can only leave the shelter with a rescue.
We will pull Sienna for a committed, approved adopter. She will have sponsored in-home training and first vet visit.
You must meet her at PACC before her 11/25 deadline. Review her notes with staff and leave your contact info which will be forwarded to us.
Sienna has so much potential in the right home. We would love to give her a second chance to live her best life! 520-265-1050🙏🙏🙏🙏

UPDATE: New RESCUE ONLY deadline 11/25/24
Sienna had a very minor bite in the shelter while on her deadline. Her deadline has been changed to a Rescue-Only deadline and will be available to be met starting on 11/20/24. Her deadline will end on 11/25/24. She is a young pup experiencing heightened kennel stress and needs a lifesaving adopter

Name: Sienna
Animal ID: A852408
Age: 9 months
Weight: 34.51 lbs.

Sienna is 10 pounds (ok, 35) of puppy in a 5-pound sack- a wiggly, bouncy, energetic, itty bitty Pittie! She’s had a challenging start to life, but at such a young age, has nothing but potential. Sienna was found tied to a doghouse at an abandoned home- a scary situation, but thankfully she was found.

While she initially thrived in the shelter environment, the stress of kennel life has taken its toll. Some dogs just don’t do well in the shelter, and sweet Sienna is one of those special pups. She has become more reactive and prone to overstimulation, making handling in the shelter difficult.

However, Sienna's true personality shines through in calmer settings. She is a sweet and playful companion with a big smile for everyone and a constantly wagging crooked tail. In a home setting and with just a bit of patience, training, and love, Sienna will be a wonderful companion.

Sienna has shared her shelter kennel and has been playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Her shelter stress can clearly be seen in the evolution of her playgroup interactions- she was initially noted to be an easygoing puppy, but more recently has become more forward with her interactions. An introduction to any resident dogs is required, but in a quieter environment, Sienna is likely to do well with a playful companion.

A quiet and stable home environment would be ideal for Sienna. She will need a patient and understanding owner who can provide her with plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and positive reinforcement- she is a puppy after all, and puppies need guidance! A home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely play and explore would be beneficial.

If you're looking for a young and energetic dog who needs a second chance, please ask about how you can help Sienna.

Available for long term foster care 30+ days or adoption through PACC.

Adoption Process:
Interested parties:

• Must visit PACC before the deadline to meet with an adoption or foster counselor who will go over notes and then introduce you to ensure that it’s a good fit.

EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE
For adoption only
5 PM | Wednesday, November 20, 2024
Name: Eunice

Animal ID: A833345
Age: 2 years
Weight: 48lbs.
Link: https://24petconnect.com/PimaAdoptablePets/Details/PIMA/A833345

About Eunice:
Eunice has had a rough start in life, coming from a home where she and her siblings were allowed to roam freely without proper containment. This lack of structure led to incidents involving fatal injuries to a small dog and possibly a bite to a member of the public. However, it’s important to understand that pack-driven behaviors in such chaotic environments do not define Eunice’s individual personality or potential.

Now at PACC, Eunice is ready for a fresh start! While she’s been a little nervous adjusting to her new surroundings, her tail immediately starts wagging when someone approaches her kennel, showing her sweet and hopeful spirit. Eunice has been selective about her dog companions, particularly in close spaces, and will require a dog introduction before going to her new home. She may thrive as the only pet in a household and should not be placed with small or submissive animals.

Eunice is a young dog with so much potential to be a loving companion for the right family. With your help, she can have a bright future in a stable, caring home.

Placement Options:
Euince needs a consistency in a home to help her grow and is available for adoption ONLY through PACC

As with any pet in the shelter, Partnered Rescue Groups can pull at any time

Adoption Process:
Interested adopters or fosters must visit PACC before the 5 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2024 deadline. A counselor will review Eunice’s notes with you and facilitate a meet-and-greet to ensure a good fit.

She MUST meet any other dogs in the home before adoption. Please bring them with you if interested in meeting Eunice.

From Blues dad…”Hi, just FYI, there was no groggy at all, full on excitement. Made it home, taking food & water well. Cone got destroyed in seconds in car. Trying to get it back on. Everything else is better than I expected. Will be a work in progress.”

*Thank you to the PACC clinic for removing some growths on Blues ge***al area that we noticed at his meet and greet.

Blues heart 💓 continues to beat! We are thankful that his dad m, who has experience with power breeds, stepped up for him. 🙏
