Skeeter 😍❤️😍❤️😍

This , meet Skeeter! This handsome fella arrived at PACC back in September 2024 when his owner sadly lost their housing. In the time since, he's become a huge volunteer and staff favorite.

Here's what one of his biggest fans, staff member Liv, has to say about him:

"When I first met Skeeter, he was a nervous and shy boy, but the more time I’ve been able to spend with him the more I’ve been able to watch him come out of his shell with me. He can take some time to warm up to his new friends but when he does all he wants is love and to hang out with his person. I’ve had him in the office before and he was an amazing office guest, he napped or chewed on his toys, very curious about your food but never ever impolite. I love having him out in a yard and watching him sniff every scent or nudging me with his big nose to give him a treat and/or pets.

We’ve been working on the concept of fetch which usually ends in him staring at me from across the yard with the ball in his mouth. He is a big, goofy, gentle giant who may prefer to just chill quietly with his person. I love Skeeter and he is always great company to have around!"

We would pull Ewi for an approved, committed foster. At almost 12 yrs of age-she will need someone who can assist with her leaky urine. We would recommend a diaper and provide everything this girl needs to a committed person or couple who can offer her the kindness and love she deserves.

It’s always a good day when a deadline dog leaves the shelter alive with a committed adopter! Today Miss Sheeva left the shelter to join her new dad and furbrother Cedar in her forever home! We are grateful to PACC for extending Sheeva an additional day and to the staff, including Dallas and Vida, who were so helpful today.

Nigel (AKA Ninja) left the shelter earlier this week and was adopted thru Passion 4 Paws. He had a training evaluation and is settling in well. (mom reports he is becoming more playful has mastered the art of relaxation)!

About: Official gingerbread season may be coming to a close but you could have Gingerbread all year round! This Gingerbread came to PACC as a stray. He can be a bit nervous around other dogs but did open up and engage in some gentle play. He can be quite shy but is very is sweet with volunteers and takes treats gently. He has been tested twice for distemper virus which came back indeterminate (possibly vaccine interference). He is unfortunately being housed in a small room to isolate but it is not ideal for long-term in the overcrowded shelter. He needs a home where he can be monitored and retested in the future. Distemper Virus is not contagious to adult, vaccinated dogs, and no harm to people/other pets. Gingerbread currently has no symptoms.

🚨NOTE: This virus is coming from the community and putting our shelter at risk. Please vaccinate your pets.🚨
