Miss 💖Lucy got a dental plaque removal today! …then a full grooming
Most importantly, she was her sweet self even after her dental she’s such a trusting dog and although I know it feels weird for dogs to have their teeth scaled she realized it was completely painless and nothing to worry about ☑️💖💖
I’ve been grooming this little girl for a long time. I just adore her. Her owners are pretty special too!

I’m so mad and frustrated..this is Bently and I groomed him before he is sensitive, but very sweet and kind
His owner walked in my salon today. She was upset because one of her relatives over the holidays. Thought they were going to give her a little gift by taking him to a dog groomer in green valley and surprise her, getting him groomed. They did not know he had a regular groomer no fault of theirs
And it went horrible. Apparently he was so upset. He peed everywhere, even when he was getting picked up was crying and shaking stressed out for a long time and when he got home, his owner couldn’t get near his legs or feet.
He was uncharacteristically reactive, and intolerant of being touched in certain places all the sudden, and she found a bunch of little cuts all under his front legs from clippers..
When she handed him over to me, he was his normal self wanted to put his little nose right up to my cheek, so I thought maybe he knows where he is and it won’t be so bad ….as soon as I began grooming him, I realized what damage had been done , he was acting completely panicked and being aggressive, where he had never been before, screaming trying to bite, it honest to God it broke my heart because he’s not that kind of dog but whatever rough treatment they gave him paired with the fact that he had cuts all over under his front legs had him to the point where he would not tolerate anything without a huge fight
So I didn’t put the clippers anywhere near his legs or belly I did that by hand sc******ng and blending so that it was less traumatic for him. I gave him as much reassurance as I could he kept climbing up on my chest, so I would hold him for a couple seconds and talk to him and then put him back on the table and keep going.
By the end of the grooming, his heart rate had gone down almost back to normal, so I’m looking forward to him coming in eight weeks. I’m confident that after the next visit, he will be back to himself during the grooming process.
I’m mad at the amount of grooming salons that are treating dogs, harshly and rushing them through cutting them giving them clipper burns and traumatizing them. I’m so sick of hearing about it. I wish I could do something!!!…but all I can do is try to help the Client dogs that come to me never have to go through any of that.
I’m a normal professional groomer who loves her job and ALL I repeat all groomers should, unfortunately, I’ve discovered in this area. I’m definitely in the minority there are a couple of us good ones still left around here , but not many

If you have an aggressive chewer like my German Shepherd eight month old puppy clutch, I highly recommend these are
Scented just enough that the dog stays engaged, my dog clutch, has had his for three days now, and has not even put a dent in these Just teeth marks (hes 80lbs) you don’t have to worry about sharp pieces breaking off and them choking or hurting their esophagus stomach or bowels
…they stay intact. They are tough and durable for even the most aggressive chewers!
Just thought I’d post these for any of my clients that might have dogs that love to chew but want a safe option that won’t break into pieces and damage their dogs! 😊🩵🐾

💖 Kizzie’s mommy wanted me to do a dental scaling plaque removal today, it’s Hard To hold my phone and take pictures of her back teeth which of course I also clean, I don’t have enough hands, lol so I just take pictures of the front teeth before and after but of course, the back teeth get cleaned as well. Just difficult to get pictures of them ☑️

Plaque removed ☑️ mad at myself for not taking a before picture. As soon as she got dropped off I went right to work, testing her to see if she was going to let me in her mouth and totally forgot to do a before picture 🤦‍♀️She was great! A little wiggly when I was doing her back teeth, but that’s totally normal. It’s not the most comfortable thing I work fast She is The most beautiful little tiger striped girl..Luna💖💖

Lola And Coco are so happy to be fresh and clean. They’re pretty excited after their grooming and they’re feeling pretty great!

Teddy was snapping almost bit my hand and growling when his mom dropped him off five minutes ago, but as you can see, I have him completely decompressed and relaxed now and I’m going to begin grooming him now that I have him relaxed He was overly reactive this time simply because he was at a boarding Kennel over Thanksgiving and that had him a little on edge still and a little overreactive no big deal and nothing I can’t work with he’s back to his normal self now 🩵
