Ride along with Bubba and I 😊❤️ had no clients booked in the first two spots so you can guess what I’m doing with that time, Royals next
Have a good Friday and a great weekend everyone !!
So here I am trying to groom and a couple woodpeckers are knocking on my building in three different places, lol maybe they want a bath??
Nail trim training, this video is my 4 1/2 month old GS puppy clutch,
I would have videoed the entire nail trim however I was holding the phone in my mouth it was awkward 😆
The reason I’m posting this is because I hear clients all the time over the years. Tell me their dog hates his or her nails trimmed well of course they do, every dog does at first!
The first day I brought Clutch home, he was eight weeks old. That was the first day he experienced a nail trim. He squealed like a pig was overdramatic wiggled squirmed and through all of this, I did not stop one time and tell him it was OK,……I simply ignored what he was doing, kept his body close to mine so that he couldn’t struggle away and kept going. I repeated this process every 3 to 4 days his nails did not obviously need to be trimmed that often so I would put the butt end of the Dremel up against his nails so that he still experienced the vibration and the sound
Every time he would pause or be still even for a second, I would tell him good boy all the time i kept going , but never would I stop or speak to him when he was struggling and crying,
If your dog cries and struggles and you stop what you’re doing and tell them it’s OK baby you teaching your dog that struggling and pitching a fit will get them whatever they want,
You can see the result of my training methods ….at only four months he happily jumps on the Ottoman and lays down when he sees me hold the Dremmel he lays still and that’s all he hast to do! And he understands that very clearly now🩵
The point is if you stop every time, your dog wiggles, squirms or cries, they learn the more they wiggle cry or nip at your hands. The more they get what they want so just because your dog is squirming crying or trying to get away just ignore that behavior and patiently persist
After a while, dogs realize that their choice of behavior isn’t getting them The result they want and they stop doing it 👌just simply ignore the bad behavior
The girls!
Sasha and Maisey just got dropped off I love how happy they are to be here with me 💖🐾💖
Elsa mini & Athena have arrived ! The best little ladies 💖💖💖
Super 6
Super 6 ⭐️ this is what happens right after their mom drops them off they all get some attention some of them crawl all over me and some of them are more patient waiting for their turn lol they all get some love before I start grooming
The tuxedo twins, 🩵🐾Cowboy & Reid 🐾🩵
Oh Cowboy is hilarious as soon as I’m finished grooming them, he walks around, touching my leg with his paws talking like a person. I know he’s trying to tell me open that door so that we can go home. Lol Reid is the lovey one who goves me all the snuggles 🥰👌
Some slow motion cuteness from gunner and Oreo after their grooming 🥰🥰
they are both such polite gentlemen. Their mom is coming to pick them up and I’m going to do a nail trim on their sister also 🐾🐾
Holly
Some more proof that I’ve won Holly’s trust, lol
Holly
Holly! This is her second visit to me and the first time she came here she was so scared and vicious. Her mother had to muzzle her before she even passed her to me. I had to do half of the Groom with a muzzle on her the first visit, and this time about five minutes in I could read her body language, and Removed the muzzle and she was fantastic. She knows now I’m a safe person and this is a safe place and there’s no need for fear biting 💖👌
My neighbor Boone 🩵🐾 she brings him up to me and drops him off and whenever I get finished, I open the door, he runs across my yard and into his own lol and goes home. All I have to do is message his mommy and let her know that he’s on his way home lol we share property lines so it’s easy for him to trot back to his yard 👌🩵🩵
