*The Tale of Twin Cousins*

Sweet Ginger was spayed yesterday. She’s from my Ruby’s only litter before she passed away. Ginger was only meant to have 1 litter also. Now she gets to live her best life with her amazing family, (and the tiny human brother that likes to feed her from his highchair when no one is looking 🤭 I think this has to be one of her favorite things about living at the Mize house)

Haley & Cadman are 1st cousins that were born on the same day… how cool is that.! And I had the most amazing pleasure of surprising both of them with twin puppies from Gingers litter! What a blessing to be part of this 🩵

This Thanksgiving I’m thankful for all of my puppy families, and guardian families. I am thankful that God has allowed me to bring joy into their lives through my puppies. And I am thankful that through my program I have been able to meet and become friends with these families, and allowed to continue to witness the joy their puppies continue to bring them.

I hope Miss Ruby Doobie Doo is up in heaven as proud of them as I am 🩵

Families and followers ~ apparently FB Meta has rolled out a new AI system within the past couple of days that is flagging and removing my posts as well as many of my ethical b R e E d I n G friends. I’ve had several posts removed within the past couple days and tried to post a new update this morning that apparently never made it to my page. In the event that this escalates further, I am posting our contact info outside FB’s platform. You can find us on Instagram and TikTok as well. Hopefully this will all blow over soon 🤞🏼

Not your typical post, but here it goes. On Tuesday my sweet Saylor gave birth to 9 puppies, one visibly smaller and weaker than the others. He wasn’t able to latch so I started tube feeding. I had a feeling in my gut that he had a cleft palate but I wasn’t able to pry his mouth open enough to see. Eventually I was able to visualize that indeed it was bad. In my 8 years of breeding I’ve never encountered this, but my heart sank because I knew it wasn’t good. Most vets advise to euthanize. Saylor was worried about her baby and Saylors mom who was equally as worried got on the internet and was able to find the organization Save The Clefts Rescue. I had no idea this organization existed and also so close to me. I reached out to them and although they weren’t able to directly take him for me, they put me in touch with Jett-Jett's 2nd Chance Nursery, Inc. who without hesitation said they would take him. Unfortunately our lil guy (LJ ~ for Lazarus Jr) didn’t make it but wow…what amazing people. I plan on donating a portion of this litters proceeds to both of these organizations and encourage others to as well. And if you are a breeder, there are resources out there, don’t give up on your babies 💗
