We support organizations who treat animals with dignity and respect, and provide affection, care, and a safe refuge to animals in need during their journey to forever homes. We strive to unite,

inspire, and engage the hearts, hands, and minds of our community to bring about an end to animal overpopulation and the needless euthanization of shelter animals. We provide opportunities to volunteer, foster, adopt, advocate, or donate, so homeless animals can count on you. Cats don’t just groom themselves and sunbathe- they’re natural pest controllers. As for our canine friends, not only are they typically “best friends” with people upon meeting, but they can be trained as Service Animals for those who are blind, disabled, or have other special needs.

VALDOSTA — The Burton Fletcher Foundation for Animals wishes to recognize individuals for their outstanding contributions to animal welfare through a competition.

The Animal Welfare Heroes, 2022 competition would include volunteerism, fostering, adoption, donations, fundraising, spaying and neutering, organizers said in a statement.

The first-, second and third-place winners will donate their winnings – a minimum of $2,500 total – to the animal welfare cause of their choice...
