Auz’z Anakin is a great addition to the Alpha community. He’s young and will take over for Pup likely this year. He’s still learning from our team. He’s got a while to go but has made progress.

What a big difference from the shelter. He calmed by the next morning. Our first big session was a great feeling for everyone. , including him. He was having a great time. The video is worth the full watch. It’s a before and after. A progression in stages to a very happy ending. He’s a very nice guy.

Saint. Ajay and Lily were also helping.
A pretty rough start when Saint arrived. He was “extracted “ from a facility in the Miami area. He’s MDAS. A troubled case. Saved by Anything’s Pawsible Rescue , they are taking a chance at his true needs.
Again, I didn’t go pick him up. I had to have a 40 minute.. discussion. A staff member and I worked together and the instant he was out, he calmed. I wasn’t so trusting. Getting the muzzle on is a matter of technique. We were both bleeding and needed a drink. He was even better when we got outside in the sun. We took our break and conveyed our thanks. I had to pick him up to get in the truck. He’s big. About seven feet tall. Very underweight. Very sick. Intact. Scared.
Everything went well. I got him to the Alpha Secret Labs with no issues. I took the muzzle off. We were fine. He was completely unworkable. He knows nothing. He’s the most cocky dog I’ve ever met. He is the epitome of everything I have ever said since becoming a trainer. He’s rude and bossy. Anyone that’s ever taken a lesson from me understands what I’m saying.
So he quarantined for a couple of weeks. Unworkable. An as***le. He completely understands my entire training philosophy.
So, I had to travel for a full day. He doesn’t like Auz very much and wanted a muzzle until I returned. Oh, well that went bad and spiraled from there. What we now call a super event. Got the muzzle on. And he was not dealing with it. Now much healthier and having more than his opinion on the matter at hand. He bashed his kennel, the ground, and his face in the process. Unworkable. I get back. Muzzle off. It’s only me handling him for now.
I know that this is another case of saying that he simply decided to trust me.
This is only a progress report that we can now.. go for a walk. Things are changing for the better. And after a rough start

Marvin went back to the shelter today unfortunately. He’ll need to have some kennel presentation.
Here’s Auz and Mercedes giving a SILENT master class lesson on the subject.
The objective was to have Marvin quiet and sitting for a treat before coming out or being leashed. It’s Marianna barking but Marvin has made huge improvements that we hope can be kept up with at the shelter. It’s a huge step forward to possibly get a foster/ adopt.
The exercise is only about patience and reward. It’s about Marvin learning on his own.
