Its hard to do up my work when Toby has to take A drink of water as I fill up every single dogs bucket!!! 😄 🤣

Day 2 of laying blood tracks for 4 month old IZZY. Each track has been about 15 yards. Her reward at the end of the blood trail is a peice of deer hide. I hope to have both boykins and Molly tracking good by deer season!

First track of the year. This was about a 50 yard track. The doe was hit clean. Elly found blood and followed the trail straight to the deer.

Lilly and Bailee. Sisters and littermates get to spend a few days with me!

Nothing special but Toby needed help walking on a loose leash. I can't stand a dog pulling on a leash. Especially in a hunting situation. How can you began to train a dog to retrieve if it does not know basic commands? sit, stay, come and heel what you need first. Since he was here for a week of boarding I put in several hours of training exercises for the heck of it because I like this dog and he wants to learn. All of this is simple but it takes repetition and time spent with your dog or invest in your dog and seek professional training. I am saying all of this as a breeder that cares about the dogs that I have sold and want all of them to reach their full potential!

3 weeks old tomorrow!

The puppies nose and paw pads have got pigment now. Their eyes should start to open toward the end of this week. Both puppies are gaining weight every day.

First real track job for Elly and burt.

This is a 35 yard sent drag for my 14 week old pup Molly. The excersize consist of a line drag with one 90 degree turn off of the drive way. It may not look like a whole lot, but it means so much to see these young pups use their nose as they work the track. This was Molly's first time working a drag without Elly.
