His love for these furry friends was immeasurable, and his sanctuary was a true reflection of his spirit—immense, generous, and filled with compassion.

Chris didn’t just rescue cats; he gave them hope, love, and a safe home. When others turned away, he stepped up. His dedication to saving lives remained until his very last breath. The loss of both Chris and his sanctuary is devastating—not just for the rescue community but for every animal that depended on him.

Today was a hard day. Rescue work is getting harder to do and losing some unexpectedly is the hardest part of all.
