Jane's Cat Rescue is a kitty rescue, TNR, fostering and adoption group serving North and East San Francisco Bay Areas. Send them to Jane. Just ask.
We show cats at Pet Club in Corte Madera from 12-4:30 pm on Saturdays, however due to COVID-19 we have temporarily suspended showings. Jane's Cat Rescue is an organization dedicated to cat rescue and indoor-only adoptions in the Northern San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento area. Our group is headquartered in Vallejo and staffed only by volunteers. We operate an adoption program to find appropria
te, loving, foster and permanent indoor-only homes for homeless cats and kittens. Before our cats are available for adoption, they undergo a thorough exam with a veterinarian, are tested, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and receive any additional urgent care so that they will be healthy when they go to their new home. Homes with small children are not appropriate for our cats. We do a standard home visit before placing a cat. All our adoptions are done on a foster-to-adopt basis to make sure that the cat and the family are right for each other before signing final paperwork. Where you can find us
We typically (suspended due to COVID-19 until further notice) show a selection of our lovely cats and kittens at:
Pet Club
508 Tamalpais Drive, Corte Madera, CA 94925
Saturdays (weather permitting), 11:30am–4pm
If you have any questions, please feel free to call Jane at 707-554-2911, or email us at [email protected]. How you can help:
Foster or adopt a cat or kitten
Provide temporary fostering for one of our cat (we provide food, medical, litter box & supplies), OR permanent adopt one (or more!) of our current cats or kittens into your loving indoor home. Help spread the word
If your own house is pet-full, then put out your antennae for news of anyone who is looking for a pet or anyone who just has a hole in their heart. Volunteer
Jane can always use little bits of help. Men's muscles are always appreciated to help unload or load up the van on Saturdays. Make a donation

Meet Halsey and Gunner, adorable 10 month old kittens. They are sister and brother. They are DSH Savannah/Tabby mix. Halsey is the smaller, darker kitten and her brother, Gunner, is the lighter colored kitten.
They are both sweethearts: friendly, curious, outgoing, and climbers always busily looking for someone to play with. They are loving kittens who follow their fosterer around looking for attention.
Most of the information we know about the two kittens is on the letter the previous owner left with the kittens. We have posted the letter with the photos. Their previous owner stated that the kitten's mother is a SBT Savannah cat. That would mean their mother may be from more than one generation of Savannah cats. Their father was a friendly neighborhood cat; again the original owner states that he is probably a Tabby--and the kittens do look like it..
Halsey and Gunner are large for kittens. We would like them to be adopted to a family who are experienced cat owners, if not Savannah cat owners. The kittens would also would be better in a home without children. They are strong and playful.
The kittens are spayed/neutered and up to date with their kitten vaccinations. They are microchipped and have tested negative for Feline Leukemia. As they are bonded, Gunner and Halsey need to be adopted together. They also need to be INDOOR CATS ONLY.
If you are interested in giving these sweeties an indoor home in the North or East San Francisco Bay Area, please call Jane at 707-554-2911.

This is a very sad story. Georgie's family has been irrevocably broken. Tragically, a couple of weeks ago, the husband committed su***de. The mom has epilepsy and has been left with their one year old baby. Now, the mom is understandably having a hard time taking care of the baby alone, coping with her illness, and sorting out her life. She can't stop crying. In light of this catastrophic situation, sadly the mom has decided to rehome Georgie in order to simplify her life.
Georgie was adopted by the couple after she was rescued and is about 7 or 8 years old. She is a spayed black-and-white tuxedo domestic short hair. She has not been microchipped or had her shots and needs a basic vet visit. Georgie was originally indoor/outdoor, but has been transitioning well to indoor only. Her life has been turned upside down and she needs a very loving indoor home in the North San Francisco Bay Area. If you are interested in adopting Georgie, please call Jane at 707-554-2911.

Henry is a 3 year old male DSH Bengal tabby mix. Henry was a stray who was rescued and is in foster care, waiting for his forever home. He is quite the character and very much a lap cat. Henry is very handsome with a distinct pattern, large eyes, and he looks like he is wearing eyeliner. He likes to drink water from the tub faucet, will hold conversations with you, and sits up on his hind legs like a meerkat. He also likes belly rubs, playing, and general showing off.
Negatives- like most Bengals, Henry is a high energy cat and needs a person willing to engage him to work out that energy. He is not crazy about having other cats in the house, but will not fight with them. He may yell at them though. A bit fussy about the type of litter in his box, as well as how often the box is cleaned. Also, he is a counter jumper, but will get down if you yell at him. He will jump back up, however, when you are not looking. :-)
If you are interested in this cute boy and have an indoor home in the North San Francisco Bay Area, please call Jane at 707-554-2911.

Sweet boy Chester has found his forever home! Happy tears!
Chester is a 6 year old DSH male tiger for adoption. He is neutered and will be up to date on his vet work before rehoming. He’s litter trained and he’s never been outdoors. Chester is well behaved. He uses scratching pads and will let his human clip his nails. He will follow you around and he likes to snuggle or sit in a lap. If you are interested in giving this nice guy an INDOOR home, please call Jane ASAP at 707-554-2911. If you leave a message, please speak slowly and clearly.
