We'll be showcasing our salad mixes, microgreens, and granola bars tomorrow located in the Bradley Fair Shopping Center from 10am to 2pm. As a special Mother’s Day treat, we've added Bok choy flowers to the Farmhouse Salad mix. And since we had a few leftover pea shoots from last week's market, we're selling those at 25% off (while supplies last). And for those of you who don’t know, freshly harvested microgreens tend to last about 3 weeks, so 25% off last week’s bounty is a really great deal. Happy Mother’s Day!!

Join the cool kids. ☺️ Volunteer at Strong Roots Healthy Farming to learn about how we prepare, plant, harvest, budget, and market. Last Thursday we had a total of THREE volunteers. Can I get a "Woot, Woot!" 🙌Our first volunteer is my mother Linda Connor who us supported us from the beginning. ❤️ The second volunteer is from our CSA last year - Linda Voth. She wants the free produce. (Can't say I blame her!)🥗 And the third volunteer is our apprentice this year with Growing Growers ICT - Kathy Malakai. She is an amazing woman who grows flowers, has her own marketing business, and sells Micronesia skin oils LihnDanpei Oils!
We're feeling very grateful for all the help we have!!

Today at Everyday Elderslie! 🙂 Elderslie Creamery cheeses (SIX kinds, with Cloudydale coming Thursday!). The temps will be dipping this weekend so it's an excellent time for soup!! One of our favorites is Katharine Elder's lentil soup with Caprino crumbled on top. Fresh tomato bisque just arrived this morning from the Elderslie Farm kitchen, too...scrumptious and good for us! Pick up some Strong Roots Healthy Farming LLC greens to have with it!

What a beautiful day yesterday! Thanks to all the people who showed up for the Growing Growers ICT farm tour yesterday through K-State Research & Extension - Sedgwick County. We love talking about local food production, local business, and local people. 💚🥗🌱 We had a great discussion regarding seed starting and farm planning.

Don’t be fooled into anything less than Strong Roots Healthy Farming’s produce. 🃏We’re at selling everything from our beloved salad mix to our braising mix, mustard greens, and pea shoots. 🥗 Let us not forget our spiced pickled beets, our fermented red jalapeño hot sauce, and our local honey-sweetened granola bars 🐝 on the table. If you haven't already heard, Elderslie Farm has opened up a new restaurant at the Wichita Art Museum! 1400 by Elderslie has a yummy menu, great ambiance, and a fabulous staff. Plus...they have our greens!! Take a day and immerse yourself in a day of art for both the eyes and the taste buds!
