Our owner Steve buffed out the large show tank in the shop. It needed a buffing to remove scratches and to polish it up. The key is to keep that buffer in motion. This is an artist at work. The yellow prawn-goby or watchman goby is a species of goby native to the Western Pacific, where it can be found at depths of from 1 to 25 metres in coastal bays and lagoons. This species is symbiotic with pistol shrimps and share burrows with them. The species can reach a length of 3 to 4 inches.
A yellow neutral backdrop that beautifully accentuates the spotted, jewel-like pattern that decorate its head and fins. The friendly Watchman Goby wears an amusing perpetual frown, and likes to peek out from behind rocks.
They should have a 30 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of loose coral rubble, ample swimming room, and a sand bottom for burrowing. It rarely becomes aggressive towards other fish, but it is territorial, and will fight with its own kind unless they are a mated pair. It may try to jump out of the aquarium or other small openings, therefore, a tight-fitting lid is required to prevent escape.
Their diet should include a variety of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, table shrimp, and other frozen foods.

Trivia question time.......
Who can name this famous prehistoric fish?
Found displayed at the Cleveland Natural History Museum. The first #########x fossils were discovered in 1867 by amateur paleontologist Jay Terrell along the shale cliffs of Lake Erie near Cleveland. It is our state fossil. And is a very big fish...estimated about 11 to 26 ft!.
Many of these fossils, including the world's only 100% complete #########xx head, are housed at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. The first ############ fossils were discovered in 1867 by amateur paleontologist Jay Terrell along the shale cliffs of Lake Erie.

Dojo or Weather loach are cool-water freshwater fish native to East Asia. Known as the dojo loach, oriental weatherfish, or Japanese weather loach, they are popular aquarium fish and have been introduced to other parts of Asia, Europe, America, and Australia. Pond loach are found in shallow, low-gradient waters with muddy or silty bottoms, such as lakes, rivers, ponds, swamps, and rice fields. They prefer to hide in the muck and leaf litter.
