UPDATE! Visited our favorite vet and newest Rescue!

The kids have lovingly named the new boy-
💫RockStar💫

And what a Rockstar he is! He has been getting all the love, grooming, and attention! He is SO GOOD with the kids! He has been dewormed and had his teeth floated! We suspect this boy is approximately 20yrs old, he has a wave/ramp and is getting hay and pellet (stable mix) diet. His appetite has greatly increased! And so has his livelyness and demeanor! He knickers for his people and has such a bright light to him! He is so kind and willing even tho people werent always the kidnest to him… it’s like he knows he’s been saved and has the comforts of love and care again! Showing his thanks.

We are still evaluating and assessing other ailments. The farrier is scheduled to adress his feet. And he is getting daily walks or round pen session, multiple times a day, to help with edema and swelling in his sheath and legs. Further testing to know exactly what’s going on is happening today! We are also sending blood out to the labs to see how his body is doing…and hair to DNA 🧬 to see if we can’t track this boy back to anywhere/anything.

In this slightly edited photo, he already looks much better and happier! He is a TALL ,leggy, sturdy built, Arabian!

Sunday Rescue Mission

When I started HHH, I made it my mission to educate myself and further my own knowledge and skill set in many areas, continuously . I made it my mission to build a network of resources, services, and relationships that would benefit our overall goal. I made it my mission to be ethical, logical, and HUMBLE. To be able to offer every rescue under our care, absolutely everything and anything they could need, “in house”. I made it my mission to help heal body and mind, to take the time it takes and set up for success and to always serve as a home for those who come through our barn doors.

I may have started HHH but it’s this network , these connections, the relationships and friendships built along the way… that help keep us going. That allow us to continue to serve our mission and fullfill it.

✨✨✨Today we are on a rescue mission , a gelding abandoned and in need….

An amazing friend and our vet, who just happens to love his breed …

Little over a year now with our MULES ♥️🙏🏻

Afternoon- Weekly Group Walk, with equine. Down our “mini trail” Road. Occasional larger walks and change of location.

Equines help promote wellness with their unique bond and benefits of emotional regulation, stress reduction, and companionship.

Provide wellness physically and mentally for the equine and yourself! Movement is medicine!

Committing to a weekly walk (short, sweet, do able for all ages) helps motivate the wellness cycle!

Meet more of your community and share in the love of the horse and wellness!

Because it takes more than just love & light and a bit of grit to rescue and rehab.

Which often leaves the horse left stuck in the cycle of being blamed, given up on and passed along again.

The rescue isn’t complete until the horse is set up to thrive. Not just survive the same way he has been, just in a new location.

If you want to help one, do it with eyes wide open.

Get educated. Get support. Get committed.
Knowledge is power and it protects the both of you. “

Rescues. Mustangs. Kill pen saves.

But behind every dramatic before-and-after reel, there are hundreds of horses that never got the “after.”

Because saving a horse isn’t just about pulling him from a bad place.

It’s about knowing what to do next.

It takes preparation, time, skill, money, patience, compassion, consistency, and clarity.

He doesn’t need a hero.
He needs a student,
A student of the horse,
Someone willing to learn his language and earn his trust.

Many are adopted and rescued because they were cheap. And the cowboy fantasy, the redemption arc, or the adrenaline rush of “taming the wild one” sounded tempting and rewarding.

But after initially taking on the horse, the reality sets in.

Because it takes more than just love & light and a bit of grit to rescue and rehab.
