If you didn’t already know, rescuing pigs isn’t cheap — it’s a full-time labor of love and a massive financial commitment. Your sponsorship helps cover essential needs like:

✨ Pellets & fresh veggies
✨ Hoof trims & vet care
✨ Medications & supplements
✨ Hay, straw, and of course… SNACKS

Every dollar goes directly to the care of our rescued residents — like the fabulous Ms. Bibee, who would love a sponsor of her very own.

All donations are tax deductible!!😬

Three years ago, we got a message from a mom whose 15½-year-old daughter was looking for a job. We were hesitant. It’s a lot to bring someone that young into the fold—but her mom assured us she was responsible, mature, and motivated. So… we took a chance.

And wow, are we glad we did.

Riley joined the Pig Luv Co Village and quickly became an essential part of our crew. She learned fast, worked hard, and did everything with care and thoughtfulness. At first she was quiet and a little shy—but if you know us, you know we don’t let anyone stay in their shell for long. Riley bloomed. She’s quirky, funny, and became one of our lead trainers for new villagers.

While she’s been with us, we’ve watched her grow up. Literally. She got her driver’s license (and cars!), graduated high school, enrolled in a career training program, started her externship, and even began working in her field—all while showing up for the pigs and the team like a pro. Multitasking? She’s got that down.

Today is Riley’s last day working at the sanctuary. We’re sad to see her go, but incredibly proud of the woman she’s become. The pigs (and people) will miss her deeply.

Thank you, Riley, for your commitment, compassion, and for being a part of our village. This isn’t goodbye… it’s see you later. ❤️

One of the hardest parts of rescue is when you’re faced with a reality that no treatment or miracle can fix. This is Mr. Bubba Pig. He came to us in 2019 and has been the sweetest, most gentle soul you could ever meet. He’s nearly 8 years old and has always been a healthy, happy boy.

Recently, we noticed a lump on the bridge of his nose and a couple of loose teeth. We rushed him to be evaluated, and the news broke our hearts—Bubba has a mass that extends into his skull. The treatment options were heavy: a CT scan to determine the spread, and if possible, radiation therapy. But this would involve multiple long drives, sedation for each treatment, and no guarantee it would help.

After many tears and long conversations, we chose the path we felt was the most compassionate—palliative care at home. Bubba is now back where he belongs, surrounded by the family he knows and loves, soaking up all the sunshine, snacks, belly rubs, and love we can give.

We promised him a life filled with love when he came to us—and we intend to keep that promise to the very end. Please keep our sweet boy in your thoughts and prayers as we treasure every moment with him. He is so deeply loved. 💔🐷
