2025 foaling season has officially started for us and we are proud to announce the arrival of DD Halina !! 🎉

On 03/05/25 our lovely maiden mare DD Hera (Tsjalle x Ironwood Helena) foaled a super adorable white dun filly sired by Gio!
Both mom and foal are doing well and we are so impressed with Hera's caring motherly abilities. We are already smitten by this sweet and spunky girl.

The apple doesn't fall far from tree 🌳🍎

Thilde was a 1 Klass Danish import (imported by Green Valley Farm, IL) and Blue Ribbon mare sired by Plutonikk.
DD Flora is Thilde's granddaughter through Flora's sire, Thorsten, who is by the 1premie Norwegian stallion Torsetblakken.
DD Florentina is Flora's daughter sired by Tsjalle.

Prydarson was already a Fjord legend during his lifetime. Born in 1998 in Norway, Prydarson was imported to Canada by Pat Wolfe and later moved to the USA standing at Long View Grange.

Prydarson made a name for himself as the Fjord stallion with the highest evaluation score in the NFHR evaluation program with 87p for conformation and movement. He also achieved high point Blue Ribbons in advanced driving with 91p and advanced draft with 88.25p.
Prydarson was also very successfully driven at recognized multi breed shows.
His offspring are loved by competitive riders, drivers and breeders all over North America.

We are proud to have one direct daughter with LVG Faksi, 3 granddaughters (DD Finja, DD Flora, DIF Megan) and 1 great granddaughter (DD Florentina) of Prydarson in our program.

We are pleased to be offering the remaining frozen semen of this legendary stallion to be used on purebred registered Fjord mares!

Introducing: Vita 🩶
Can you fall in love from only one picture? Sure you can! And so did we when we saw the first picture of this beauty. Vita was bred by Linda Reuvers-Van 't Hoenderdal in the Netherlands.
She is sired by the Dutch stallion Timor (owned by Annabel van den Berg). Timor, who was born in 1998, is a yearmate and ¾ sibling to Dan’s former stallion Tico, who was imported to the USA by Green Valley Farms in Illinois.
However, Timor at 14.2hh is a much horsier version with the same jaw dropping movement and stunning head. Timor's mother, a mare named Kelly, is a full sister to the Dutch stallion Manus. Timor has had an impressive production record, breeding well into his mid 20s and going strong. Timor is “Model- Prestatie & Keurhengst”.
Vita's dam, Raika van de Bilterhoeve, is a 1 premie champion mare sired by the famous Brijol. As mentioned in OstFin’s post, Brijol is approved in 7 European countries. Raika's mother is sired by the Norwegian stallion Hertug, who is also the sire of the import stallion Flotren.
While Vita's bloodlines are maybe not as uncommon in North America when you look past the first couple generations, they are combined in a different and unique package. Not to mention her beautiful grey coat color as the icing on the cake!
We are looking forward to pairing Vita primarily with outside stallions to diversify the gene pool in our program while boosting movement, beautiful heads and excellent breed character.

Introducing: Vetch van het Vene 🩶
Vetch was bred by Fokkerij van den Berg in the Netherlands and combines Norwegian, German and Dutch lines bringing brand new genetics to North America!
His sire is the Norwegian born yellow dun stallion Jakobgardens Junar by Lille Ulrik. Lille Ulrik is the only approved yellow dun stallion in Norway, convincing with his traditional build, overall movement scores of 8.5 (9s for trot and walk) and his very active underreaching hind legs. Junar was imported to the Netherlands in 2020 and is approved for breeding there and in Germany.
Vetch’s mother is the Dutch mare Füress by the German bred grey stallion Drafur. We have been looking at Drafur and offspring from his sire Don for years and are super excited to finally have the opportunity to add his genetics to the North American gene pool. Darfur is reminding us a lot of our stallion Tsjalle in regards to his movement, conformation and disposition.
Füress is going back on her mother line to the influential Dutch stallions Sebastian and Toddy I.
While van den Berg’s stallion Drafur was on our list of stallions we were interested in, we had not considered Junar as a prospective stallion since we were not looking to import a yellow or red dun foal. In early June, and much to our surprise, Annabel announced the arrival of a grey dun c**t! The rest is history 😁🙃.
Vetch has convinced us with his unrelated genetics and his athleticism. We are anticipating him maturing into a bigger framed stallion with more drafty features but great athleticism and really cool disposition.
A big Thank You to Annabel van den Berg for hosting our 3 rascals until they were ready for their big trip and being so incredibly helpful making it all happen!

Introducing: OstFin 🩶
OstFin was bred by Helen Indrebö and born in Sweden. He is sired by the Norwegian stallion Nygårds Gurven (Fjell Fin x Hoyland's Luna by Frederik Skovå). Nygårds Gurven sired the 2024 "Dagens Hest" , stallion (best in show) at Norfjordeid with his son Birkelid Truls. Nygårds Gurven is approved for breeding in Norway, Sweden and Denmark and was best in show himself in Sweden earning 44p.

OstFin's mother EdelFin is sired by no less than the legendary grey stallion Brijol, who is approved in 7 European countries, more than any Fjord (to our knowledge) has ever achieved! He received scores of 43.5p respectively in Norway and was also "Dagens Hest" at his stallion testing in 2015. EdelFin's dam is a mare we have been following for a few years, the Danish bred mare Hojgaard's Iwana. Iwana is sired by the famous stallion Trollfin and her mother's sire is the Norwegian stallion Monolitt. Monolitt is the sire of Denise's first Fjord in Germany and she has met and loved multiple Monolitt offspring over the years. All in all, OstFin has a super high quality pedigree and is bringing fresh blood through Nygårds Gurven, Trollfin and Monolitt into the North American gene pool.
We appreciate OstFin's balanced conformation and correctness of movement. He is exquisitely built through his hind end and stifle. His head is typey, pretty, yet masculine and we love his expressive markings contrasting his beautiful grey coat color. 🖤🩶🤍

We are absolutely excited and thankful to Ashley Johnson Ralph ( Fjords) to make the grey stallion Hatton’s Oskar available to us for the 2025 breeding season! Oskar will be breeding at DDungård from June to September 2025 and limited space for outside mares is available.
Oskar is sired by FSF Ole and out of Levitah by Fair Acres Sven II, bringing some more uncommon bloodlines out west. Of course, we are planning on breeding a few of our own mares to this 14.2hh handsome guy next year and select foals may be available in 2026.

It has been so much fun schooling the National Championship Mountain Trail course at the Oregon Horse Center in the past that we decided for Thanksgiving to go for the third time and take our three young mares DD Jorina, DD Grå Perle and Pebble Creek Fjord's Nora. These beautiful mares have vastly exceeded our expectations! Nora has only been with us for a couple months, to our knowledge never been exposed to indoor trail obstacles or used to pony another horse off from and she was brave and super willing! Jorina has only been ridden by Dan once before and nothing can really faze this mare (except maybe for the fire- breathing-Fjord-eating - mini 🤣) . And our two-year old Perle took everything in stride and was curious (about the taste of various things) and really otherwise just cruised along.
We are so thankful for a wonderful weekend and awesome ponies, who received lots of complements for their behavior, conformation and representation of the breed. ❤️

SOLD Coming up on consignment! Unicorn alert!! 🦄 White dun Fjord gelding in his mid teens. He was shown in 2022 Training Level Test 3 at this first show and scored 68.103. He was awarded Training Level Champion. He is currently solid 1st level and schooling 2nd movements. He’s been in professional training for over 2 years. He’s an amazing trail horse and will go out alone or with a group and he loves water. He’s easy to handle, load, bath, clip, trailer and will stand tied for hours. He lives in or out. Really comfortable smooth gaits and easy to sit the trot. He’s athletic and sensitive. He is not gonna be cheap, but everyone who has ever tried to bring a Fjord up in the levels in dressage knows how much goes into it. 25,###. He is purebred and registered.
