UPDATE

Facebook, dog lovers, other rescues. We need help. This poor dog has been roaming around Lanett for 2 weeks. He may have been dumped. He ended up at an older gentlemans house today. This poor guy doesn't have pets and isn't able to care for them. Is there ANYONE that can help.
Animal control can't help because they use CHS which is FULL.
Something has to be done no kill shelters no kill rescues are all limited intake. People don't spay and neuter people are resorting to dump in their animals and these animals end up roaming. PM for more details. Our tiny rescue isn't taking and are unable to help.

We have GREAT NEWS!! Sweet Axl, who has been at the Big Valley Rescue house for six years, has been adopted!!! He went to his new home yesterday - falling in love with his new mom immediately. He pranced around his new house so proudly and played on a bed for the first time in his life. To say this sweet boy was happy is an understatement - he was ecstatic. His new mom is committed to making the rest of Axl's life full of love and adventure! Congratulations, sweet Axl. You deserve it!!!

What do you do when there is a stray that has been roaming around for a year 2 houses down from you? This boy has been out on his own and until today was dodging Animal Control or anyone trying to rescue him. With the help of AC today he is inside with a warm blanket and food. Although we have closed intake and remain focused on those in our care, we could not say NO to this old soul who needed us. Welcome to the rescue Sweetums.

We are down to our last bag of dog food. We still have long term furbabies that need food, treats and Furever Homes. While they are with us we exhaust ourselves to take care of their needs. Remi short for Re*****on is still looking for his furever. He's big, he's black and overlooked. But his personality is also big. Remi knows sit, shake, high five and speak. He has helped dogs come out of their shell and has made besties with shy Hazel. We know his furever family is out there. Since it's October and adopt a black dog month, share to find him a home. He really is the best.

Exciting update! This girl now named.Dolly is in a foster to adopt home (pending spay next month) and is safe and living her best life. Thanks to everyone involved with getting the sweet girl to safety and to her furever home.

This baby will be on a 7 day stray hold as she is now a BVAR dog. We were posting to get her safe per the original information that her owner had died. She doesn't have a chip and has been running in the area for days. We also do follow the 7 day stray hold for every animal we intake. She is safe and in good hands.

UPDATE
This baby is safe thanks to the ladies who first saw her, fed her and gained her trust. They were able to contain her in a crate. A few days ago they heard other bigger dogs trying to hurt her. They bravely stepped in an kept her safe. Due to life and their current fur babies their only safe way to contain her was in this crate. They alternated and harnessed her for potty breaks etc. We have been overwhelmed and closed intakes. Sometimes you have to bend just a little. She is now a BVAR pup! The ladies son named her Daisy. She has a potential rescue partner commitment and possible adopter. She will be vetted and chipped before she is available.

This sweet beagle girl needs your help. Early reports were that her owner died and she has been roaming the Belulah community ever since. Other reported that she was dumped. Either way a someone took the time to earn her trust and feed her. Their road is a busy one and she would likely meet a horrible fate if left without help.
We are all FULL and overwhelmed right now in animal welfare. Is there anyone willing to foster or foster to adopt her. We will pay for food, vetting. Please consider helping this baby. The lady who found her already has fur babies and cannot take her, but didn't want to do nothing.

Ashton loves KONG toys. he likes to "talk" while they are in his mouth. As you all now KONG toys are not cheap. We do our best to have these on hand. Ashton has been with us for 2 years waiting on his furever. KONG toys provide much needed enrichment and play that helps Ashton cope as he is hopeful his family will be found soon.
