Tsjalle had his first big USDF dressage show weekend in 2024! It didn't all go smoothly, but his incredible disposition*, enormous try and willingness made the weekend a success! It was our first show without our coach Betty, so for both of us more difficult on an emotional level. But we know she would have been proud!

* Besides the fact that we can't leave him alone anymore on the show ground: He rolled while still being damp and tied to the horse trailer and acted all innocent when we got back. He took a bite out of the clipboard of the ring steward and ate the ring schedule.

We changed some things up over the holidays and went to Jacob Holmer's Working Equitation Clinic at Mountain View in Colbert. Even though Tsjalle (and I) had some time off from riding, he was as always perfectly behaved. I love doing something different once in the while and especially during the winter months. Last year we did Sort 10 and the some jumping lessons, let's see what else we come up with to spice this seasons winter training up.

It is exciting to see what a tremendous influence our stallions and breeding program have in the breed and how desired those genetics are!

Our fabulous grey stallion Tsjalle, 2023 United States Dressage Federation All-Breeds First Level AA Champion, that we imported from Germany in 2018, has a couple of grand offspring by his son, DD Tjalve, that have been shipped all the way back across the country to within 30 minutes of their grandsire, AND for 2024, his son that we bred (DD Taro Locke) will be standing at stud just 30 minutes away! It is cool to see that breeders near, far and wide are recognizing Tsjalle’s exceptional quality, talent and the high-quality Fjords that we are producing!

One of our goals in bringing Tsjalle to North America was to promote more genetic diversity through his very unique and unrelated pedigree. It is wonderful to see how those genetics have already spread across the continent and back!

Based on the undeniable demand for Tsjalle’s genetics, we will offer him for breeding via live-cover only to a limited number of outside mares during the 2024 breeding season. Please PM for more information.

First sleepover at our trainers' at LGF. Tsjalle made some new friends and enjoyed pretending to be Lutina (a 17.2hh Irish Sporthorse mare that is also grey in color and eventing prelim 😂). He is such a clown! 🤡

Winter training season has started and it's fun to change it up a bit. Our outdoor arena is now frozen and we will start in November to head up to Legacy F&S for training sessions in addition to our lessons at LGF.

Last show of the year is in the books! This time we went on a long drive to Eagle, Idaho to Les Bois Dressage, but it was worth it! We met so many nice people and Tsjalle just loved the show environment. Lots of people stopped by his stall and told him how handsome he is. The show was extremely well organized, the facility stunning and all people friendly and supportive. Tsjalle loved his big "Horse Hilton" - stall and earned two 1st places at First level with over 66% and 69%.

Second and last 2023 Tsjalle foal arrived just a couple nights later. DD Ty is out of DD Flora by Thorsten (Torestblakken x Thilde by Plutonikk) and LVG Faksi (Prydarson x Sjenna Gard Firogyn by Felix). He is blessed with an adorable head, long legs and a sweetheart personality. ❤️
He is available with a gelding requirement.

Yesterday, Tsjalle had his weekly dressage lesson at Liberty Grove. This morning he was on cow duty. And no, we don't have any cattle. 🙃
I can always count on him and he is the man/horse for the job. 🧡💚
